Pro Wrestling Torch was established in 1987 by Wade Keller. One of the primary traits PWTorch has been credited with over the years is assembling the best and most diverse staff of columnists with broad knowledge, but also areas of specialty where they have a particularly strong grasp of history. Every day PWTorch.com presents that team of writers answering your questions, some of which are fact-based and others of which are opinion-based. Either way, we've got you covered with Bruce Mitchell, Pat McNeill, Sean Radican, Greg Parks, James Caldwell, and Wade Keller. Collectively they have over 80 years working for the Torch, writing about wrestling and studying industry history and trends.

If you have a question you'd like us to respond to, send your question to askpwtorch@gmail.com. I, along with the Torch staff, will address you questions in this feature and also the “Ask PWTorch: All-Star Panel” edition which is also published most days here at PWTorch.

PWTorch reader Uzoma I. asks: Over the months, Chris Hero (the former Kassius Ohno) has shown considerable weight gain as he continues to compete in the independent circuit. Does this further put the kibosh on him ever returning to WWE?

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: Probably for the short-term, anyway. If he does end up signing back up with WWE at some point, it'll likely be with the acknowledgment from both parties that he'll have to shed some weight. Maybe at some point WWE won't put such a premium on body type, but with Triple H eventually taking over, I don't see it happening.

PWTorch columnist Sean Radican answers: I don't see Hero going back to WWE whether he's in good shape or not. I don't think WWE sees a lot in him and I have a hard time believing they would bring him back at any point in the near future. I think Hero has gotten a bad rap for his physique. He was in good shape while he was in NXT, despite not having a bodybuilder physique that WWE favors. Hero's recent weight gain is a result of a back injury he suffered over the summer, which left him unable to walk for several weeks. I think Hero will get back into good shape, but he's gotten a bad rap lately for gaining weight while injured.

PWTorch senior columnist Bruce Mitchell answers: It was one of their concerns when they dropped him, do I'd say yeah, it probably doesn't help his chances of returning, but then nobody much returns to WWE after they get cut.

PWTorch reader Adam A. asks: Okay, everyone feels that they should unify the U.S. Title and I-C Title, but if they do that (and they should), what do you think about them bringing back the European Title? I know it wasn't that important, but I do think it could serve a purpose. It could be used for smaller comedy acts like Santino or Adam Rose who do good jobs at their characters and deserve a little credit and also for people that come up from NXT who aren't ready for a major title run. With the European Title being the third-tear title, it would may the I-C Title more valuable, especially if someone wins it as there first title. Another major use for it could be on the WWE Network as a title that gets defended and switches more on Superstars and Main Event. It gives people more of a reason to watch those shows when something actually happens there and another reason for WWE to tell people to order the Network. I don't see it happening, but it could be worth a try. What you guys think?

PWTorch columnist Pat McNeill answers: You want to bring back the European Title as a comedy title? Why? Because we don’t have enough bad comedy on WWE television?

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: The main argument to unify the US Title and IC Title is that neither title on its own is getting the recognition it deserves, and thus the prestige of each title is lowered. So combining them and then bringing in the European Title creates the same issue: You've still got two secondary titles and the problems persisting now will likely continue. Also, it's kind of insulting to use a championship called the "European Title" and not have any reason or explanation for that name.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: Adam, I'm sorry, but I can think few worse ideas than yours. I'm with Greg - the very idea of the European Title being defended in the U.S. and/or being fought over by non-Europeans was just nonsense to begin with. I like things to make sense. The European Title was originally created for WWE's European house show tours so there'd be a dedicated title for those fans that could change hands over there. Then when it came to the U.S. it lost all reason to exist. I'd be for two heavyweight singles at a time, not three and certainly not four. If you want a title for WWE Network, I can get on board with that. But please don't call it the European Title. That makes no sense. How about the WWE Network Title instead?

PWTorch reader Will S. asks: If William Regal was American, how much more successful would he have been in the WWE?

PWTorch columnist Greg Parks answers: Actually, I'm not sure he'd have been as successful as he has been were he American. I think being British has helped set him apart from the other wrestlers. What has hurt him more than anything else has been his past Wellness Policy (drug) suspensions.

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: I don't think being British made a big difference, and certainly didn't hurt. His drug addiction issues along with his insistence on working a more deliberate European style hurt him. Had he turned it up a bit to meet the demands of the attention spans of U.S. audiences during his peak years, he would have gotten over better. I've always been a fan of his, but frustrated by his self-induced setbacks over the years. His promos were really good and at times I felt could have helped turn him into a legit main event draw.

PWTorch reader Tommy from South Philly asks: I have a suspicion that Triple H runs NXT, and not Vince. Triple H is always praising NXT and always down there and you rarely hear Vince talk about it. Two questions, can any of you verify or deny my suspicion and also if it is true does this give us hope for the future since NXT is a million times better then Raw and ten million times better then Smackdown?

PWTorch editor Wade Keller answers: Are you also suspicious that Stephanie McMahon is Vince McMahon's daughter and that Michael Cole, JBL, and Jerry Lawler host Raw? Because those are much established and widely reported as fact as Triple H being in charge of NXT. I just wrote up a summary of an interview with Triple H talking about running NXT here:
