Triple H returned to the weekly interview series with Michael Cole on Wednesday to promote Night of Champions.

It was Week 58 of Hunter in the series and Week 100 of Cole's interviews. Appearing for the first time since March, Hunter discussed the following subjects, mainly out-of-character:

- Hunter interestingly described NXT as a "counter-brand," then paused to check his wording. "Yeah, I wanted to create sort of a counter-brand (pause), another brand for WWE that we can build the future in and make it as big as possible," Hunter said, almost saying too much about NXT being a counter to the current state of the main WWE brand in the eyes of fans.

- Hunter hyped the current WWE roster containing a vast majority of wrestlers coming through NXT or the Performance Center.

- Asked about Sting competing on Raw for the first time, Hunter said he's happy that Sting is "here in WWE" and competing on Raw. He built up Sting as an icon in the industry to set up how big it could be for Seth Rollins to beat John Cena and Sting on the same night.

- Hunter noted that Cole has been on a weight-loss program. Cole said he's lost 65 pounds over an 11-month process.
