Deadline.com reported Thursday what PWTorch reported in July that former WWE head writer Brian Gewirtz is taking an executive position at Seven Bucks Production, the company headed by "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson.

Gewirtz left his WWE Creative consultant position earlier this year to take a full-time position with Rock's company. Deadline reported the official title of "Senior VP of Development," which Deadline says indicates Seven Bucks wants to push forward with more TV projects.

“Brian and I have had a saying for the last 15 years, every time we work together which is 'Let’s knock this outta the park' and we’ve been lucky enough to hit a few bangers that are still sailing,” said Johnson in a statement.

Johnson's ex-wife/business partner Dany Garcia added: “This is an exciting time for Seven Bucks and we’re thrilled to work with Brian to continue producing groundbreaking programming that speaks to a global audience.”

Deadline noted our timeline that Gewirtz shifted to a “consultant role” with WWE Creative in 2013, which essentially meant that he was still an important part of the Creative process, but he was not involved in the day-to-day operation, such as when he was head writer.

From our "Inside WWE" Report published in PWTorch Newsletter #1413: Gewirtz was essentially the 'fix-it' or 'clean-up' guy who looked at each week’s Raw and Smackdown script after the show, recommended changes for next week, and added little touches to future storyline direction. Now, Mr. Fix-It has moved on to The Rock’s budding production company.
