-- WWE received coverage from the Wall Street Journal today after their first-ever trip to China for a live show in Shanghai on Sunday.

WSJ's story focused on the throngs of people coming to the event in Shanghai, WWE's TV reach expanding in China and programming drawing strong viewership, and the WWE wrestlers delivering basic stories of good vs. evil that translate in other markets.

The story included a quote from WWE champion Sheamus. It was a three-word quote to sum up WWE's overseas tour that also included two shows in Japan: "We're never off," he said.

WWE's VP of International business, Andrew Whitaker, was also quoted in the story. WSJ reported WWE does not have plans on a return show to China t this time.

-- WWE's Jim Ross discussed the China show in his latest blog on jrsbarbq.com. Ross said a WWE TV crew was in China shooting footage of the first-ever show in China.

"Obviously this was a long, grueling trip for the travelers but everyone from what I understand really enjoyed the history making experience," Ross said. "One would assume that there will be some footage of this trip in upcoming WWE TV vehicles."

-- Ross also reported that WWE drew over $1.1 million in ticket sales for both shows in Tokyo at Sumo Hall. Ross said the second show on Saturday was "essentially sold out."
