Former WWE & WCW star Lex Luger says he would accept a WWE Hall of Fame invitation if invited by WWE.

Luger says he's heard talk of a WCW-themed Hall of Fame at next year's WrestleMania in Atlanta, but he's not sure if WWE will offer him a slot.

"I don't know if my out-of-the-ring 'antics' - to put it mildly - will overshadow my in-ring persona and career," Luger said on the In Your Head radio show last night.

"It would obviously be a tremendous honor if my character and my personality were ever thought to be in the Hall of Fame. I would very graciously accept. I have no idea, though, if it's in the cards in the near future, next year, or ever."

Luger was also asked about the rumor that he was backstage at a recent TNA TV taping. Luger said he heard the rumor, but hasn't been contacted by TNA recently.

"I never got a phone call from them or ever heard from them," Luger said. "I kept hearing, 'You're going to wrestle for TNA.' I never heard from them and it must be one of those crazy Internet rumors. I was never there; I was never backstage."

A caller suggested Luger play the role of Sting's manager. Luger said he would love to manage Sting and use a cane for his spinal cord injury to distract opponents.

Luger said he doesn't know if he'll ever be able to wrestle again, and definitely not at the level he was once was able to. He optimistically said advances with natural supplements has encouraged him that he could recover enough from his spinal cord injury to have a match again down the road.
