In the main event in front of yet another packed house of around 1,000 screaming, hardcore, and in many cases temporarily insane wrestling fans at ECW Arena in Philadelphia, Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) fought Terry Funk to a no-contest. Cactus and Funk shook hands before the bell and brawled for about six minutes before Flyboy Rocco Rock & Johnny Grunge, The Public Enemy (TPE), interfered.

TPE beat on Funk, but Cactus refused to take advantage of their attack to pin him. TPE thus decided to attack Cactus. Funk and Cactus eventually got the better of TPE. Funk once again asked the fans for a chair to use as a weapon and ECW's previous World Chair Throwing Record, set last month, was broken as one fan estimated 100 chairs were thrown into the ring, smothering TPE in the process. While the spectacle was amazing, a couple of Torch correspondents expressed disappointment with the brevity of the main event.

The brawl sets up a tag team main event on Aug. 27 back at ECW Arena with Funk and Cactus uniting against TPE. That match will share the spotlight with ECW hosting a one-night tournament to crown a new NWA World Heavyweight Champion (yes, that Shane Douglas tournament).

In what was unanimously reported to be the best match on the card, Sabu (mgd. by Paul E. Dangerously) pinned Too Cold Scorpio after a leg drop over the top rope as Dangerously held a chair in front of Scorpio. They each added several new spots to their match not used in their previous two matches in Montgomeryville, Pa. Sabu added two new moves where he flew high over the top rope onto Scorpio and chairs. It was 18-20 minutes of non-stop action.

Also on the card, Sandman (mgd. by Woman) beat Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer lost by DQ when he snuck in the ring before the match and hit Sandman with a cane six or seven times. He also hit the referee, ring announcer, and anyone else in sight. He managed to kiss Woman while he was at it. Woman revived a KO'd Sandman with a puff from her cigarette.

911 (mgd. by Dangerously) pinned Mr. Hughes (w/Shane Douglas & Angel) after a chokeslam. After the pin, 911 chokeslammed Angel twice and Douglas once.

Tazmaniac & Jimmy Snuka beat The Pitbulls after a superfly splash.

Jason captured the TV Title from Mikey Whipwreck in a no-DQ title match. Jason did a legdive onto a table, breaking it in half. After a ref bump, The Pitbulls attacked Whipwreck setting up Jason's pin. Snuka and Taz made the save.

Chad Austin beat Tommy Cairo and Hack Myers beat The Rockin' Rebel in the two opening matches.
