Global Force Wrestling results
September 5, 2015
Clinton, Iowa
Report by Jared Walsh, PWTorch correspondent

There was a meet & greet two hours before the show featuring big names such as "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Chris Masters, Magnus, and Mickie James.

(1) Sonjay Dutt beat D.J. Zema by pinfall. High-energy match to open the show.

(2) Clinton's own Matt Bentley beat Kevin Matthews and Tommaso Ciampa in a triple threat match. Bentley probably had the loudest pop of the night as he was the hometown hero.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan came out to a loud ovation. He began speaking, but was interrupted by Ariya Daivari, who stole his 2x4 and told him he'll never be man enough to face him one-on-one.

(3) ODB beat Mickie James via pinfall. ODB definitely lived up to her namesake, as the match was filled with spanking and obscene gestures.

(4) Magnus (Nick Aldis) beat Chris Masters (Chris Mordetzky) via pinfall. Physical match between two strong athletes. Fans were a bit disappointed not to see a Masterlock from Chris, but considering he doesn't use his WWE name anymore, I can't say I was exceedingly surprised.

(5) The New Heavenly Bodies beat Zero Gravity by pinfall in an extremely entertaining tag match. NHB did everything a heel team should do, and Zero Gravity proved to be aptly named, high-flying athletes. They were quite over with the crowd.

Next was a promo spot from GFW owner and proprietor Jeff Jarrett. He quickly spoke on the importance of independent wrestling, calling it the "life blood" of wrestling. He thanked the fans for attending, putting food on the Jarrett family table for over 70 years, and for the continued support of Global Force.

(6) Colt Cabana beat Ariya Daivari via pinfall. I must be a bit frank here: Ariya Daivari, who has been in the business for quite sometime, seemed to have a rather demeaning character. Billed from Iran, he was in full "Muslim" attire, complete with prayer rug, anti-American sentiments, and all. It just seems to me that every man of Middle Eastern descent doesn't have to be pigeonholed into a role such as this. I was honestly offended. Apart from this, Daivari and Cabana had an excellent match. The finish came when Hacksaw interfered on Colt's behalf as he was about to be hit with the stolen 2x4 while the referee was incapacitated.

The night finished with photos in the ring with Jeff Jarrett and Hacksaw. Overall, a nice, small live show. I hope to see more from GFW as they have a talented roster and what seems to be a growing fanbase.
