Pre-show notes: Very disappointing turn-out. There were about 200 people. However, the people that were in attendance were very passionate. There were mic issues early on.
(1) Ryan McQueen (local) beat Sonjay Dutt and a third masked wrestler, whose name was not clear due to the mic issues. Dutt hid out for the first minute before attacking McQueen. The masked wrestler and Dutt then battled for a few minutes. McQueen laid out Dutt with a superkick and then McQueen and The Masked Wrestler went at it while Dutt really sold on the outside. Dutt then came back in and attacked both wrestlers before focusing on the masked wrestler. McQueen hit a brainbuster suplex on the Masked Wrestler after disposing of Dutt for the victory.
The Masked Wrestler laid out McQueen on the outside after the match.
(2) Paul Isadora beat J.R. Kratos. I believe both guys are local. Kratos came out looking like Little Red Riding Hood. Isadora won a non-descript big man match.
(3) Christina Von Eerie beat Amber O'Neal. O'Neal dominated the first few minutes. Von Eerie than made a comeback to the cheers of the crowd. O'Neal regained control and dominated the middle of the match with Von Eerie getting a few hope spots before getting cut off each time by O'Neal. The crowd was really behind Von Eerie as O'Neal cheated. Von Eerie then got a surprise victory out of nowhere to the delight of the crowd.
The crowd came to life for the next match...
(4) Nick Aldis (Magnus) beat Chris Mordetzky (formerly Chris Masters). Lots of chain wrestling in the early minutes with Aldis playing to the crowd. Lots of "Magnus" chants causing Mordetzky to go to the outside to stall before returning to the ring for Aldis to regain the advantage. Mordetzky got the advantage with a elbow to the face leading to action on the outside. Back in the ring, Mordetzky locked in an abdominal stretch. Mordetzky then played to the crowd as they heckled them. Mordetzky teased a People's Elbow before signaling for the Masterlock, but Aldis reversed for a two count. Aldis then briefly gained control and locked in a Boston Crab. Mordetzky escaped, then reversed into a sit-down powerbomb for a very believable two count. Mordetzky went for the Masterlock again, but Aldis reversed into a Rock Bottom variation for the victory.
[Intermission]
Back to action, where P.J. Black (formerly Justin Gabriel) came out as the heel addressing us as Sacramento. He stated that his match will only last 30 seconds, which brought out Virgil Flynn to the loudest ovation this far. Flynn is somehow half the size of Black.
(5) Virgil Flynn (local wrestler) beat P.J. Black. The match began with some chain wrestling with Black having the early advantage. Flynn then got a few quick spots before Black halted the action with a superkick to gain control. This was definitely going longer than 30 seconds. Back and forth action, then Black attempted to dump Flynn to the outside, but Flynn countered with a plancha to the roar of the crowd. Back in the ring, Flynn blocked a 450 splash, went for it again, but missed. Black then ran into powerslam from the 150 lb. man for the pin.
Main Event Time. Bullet Club came out to tons boos. Reno Scum came out to the biggest cheers of the night, with lots of "OY..OY" chants.
(6) Reno Scum (Luster & Adam Thornstowe) beat Bullet Club (Karl Anderson & Doc Gallows w/Amber O'Neal). Lots of stalling with Bullet Club getting boos and Reno Scum getting very loud cheers. A kid could be heard yelling "wrestle already" and the match then got underway. Early domination by Scum on Anderson, then Gallows. Bullet Club then took the action to the outside ramming both members of Reno Scum into the dugout/backstop before taking the advantage back to the ring. Reno Scum got a brief advantage before Anderson used outside tactics to stop it. Gallows then got knocked to the outside to be tended by O'Neal leading to Reno Scum regaining the advantage to the delight of the crowd, who continued to chant "OY...OY." But, Bullet Club got the fall with a double-team neckbreaker, the Magic Killer, for the victory.
Post-match, the crowd booed as Gallows said something that couldn't be heard because the mic kept cutting out. Anderson then thanked the fans as Reno Scum and Bullet Club shook hands and posed to end the show. They closed with the chance to take pictures with Jeff Jarrett for $20.
Overall, despite mic issues, this was a very entertaining two hours of wrestling action. I encourage all to support local wrestling. Tonight's show educated me on the local wrestling scene here in Reno and I will make sure to catch the next local show.
