[Q1] Pre-credits hype for Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte for the NXT Women's Championship.

Jason Jordan and Chad Gable come down to the ring. Light "Gable" chant, and more support as he shows off his towel.

1 - JASON JORDAN & CHAD GABLE vs. STEVE CUTLER & ELIAS SAMSON

Gable wants to start, but Jordan shoos him out of the ring. Jordan smugly takes Samson down. The crowd asks for Gable, and Jordan tags him in. Gable shows off more amateur style, grounding Cutler. Lots of leverage pins from Gable. You know, Gable's singlet looks like he was meant to be part of a trio with Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton.

Samson tags in and unloads on Gable. Body slam into a cover gets one for Samson. Cutler tags in and eats a big takedown. Jordan gets the tag and plows Cutler. Jordan tags Gable, tosses Cutler into a mid-air suplex, and Gable bridges for the win.

WINNERS: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable in 2:42. Decent showing for Gable. Their finisher was pretty sweet. If you are a fan of amateur wrestling style, the NXT tag team lower card has lots to excite you.

Flashback to Raw when the NXT Women's division shook up Raw.

Samoa Joe is out dressed to wrestle. Let it sink in for a moment that Samoa Joe is out in Q1 while a women's match is the main event. He is facing "already in the ring" Axl Disher for his debut.

2 - SAMOA JOE vs. AXL DISHER

Disher tries to trade wristlocks with Joe, and pays the price. Disher with light offense, then Joe clobbers him in the corners with punches and a chop. Snapmare, chop to the neck, kick, knee drop. Disher tries to fight off the mat but takes a chop to the head. Disher with more offense, then tries to run Joe's face on the ropes.

Disher runs into an atomic drop, but gets a big boot and senton from Joe. Disher runs out of the corner, kicks Joe, then jumps into a uranage. Joe hits the Musclebuster, then locks in a sleeper hold on the mat. Disher weakly taps.

WINNER: Samoa Joe via submission in 3:02. What I am liking about Samoa Joe's matches is that he lets his opponent get some offense, that makes Joe's win look more credible.

[Q2] Vignette on Baron Corbin. He shows off his football championship rings and a Golden Gloves belt. He gets tattoos. He hates people who think they have "done something" while showing clips of Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Tyler Breeze, and Hideo Itami. They were Internet heroes and got paid in chips and hot dogs while he got paid big checks in football. He is the agent that decides their fate.

Eva Marie comes out and gets mega heat from the NXT audience. She isn't even dressed to wrestle. She spins to show off her body, then thanks the fans for being so excited to see her. She can't wait to see the NXT Women's Championship match. She will be making her in-ring debut next week and tells the fans to get their signs and horns ready.

[ J.J.'s Reax: Something NXT does really well is turn a weakness into a strength. In the case of Eva Marie, they took the fact that the FSU/NXT audience can't stand her, and just let her run with it as a Bo Dallas-style heel. ]

Out next are Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake, who seem to have music. It's more downbeat and less aggressively dubstep-y. They are facing Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton. Speak of the devil.

3 - NXT Tag Team Champions WESLEY BLAKE & BUDDY MURPHY (w/Alexa Bliss) vs. ANGELO DAWKINS & SAWYER FULTON - Non-title Tag Team match

Dawkins with early offense on Murphy. Murphy gets knees up in the corner to stun Dawkins. Murphy and Blake work Dawkins over in the corner. Blake sneaks around the ring to keep Fulton from tagging Dawkins. Running suplex from Murphy, then a Frog Splash from Blake for the win.

WINNERS: Wesley Blake & Buddy Murphy in 3:05. Nice to see heels act like heels. Still a pretty clean win, but heelish all the same.

Post-match, Bliss orders Blake and Murphy to take out Fulton and Dawkins. She stands on the first rope while supervising the beat down. Blake and Murphy hold her feet, walk her mid-ring, and she launches herself out of their hands to hit the Sparkle Splash.

[ J.J.'s Reax: Having Bliss participate in the physicality really adds to the heelishness of her character. ]

Sami Zayn is out, with his arm in a sling to give us a medical update. Huge reaction for Zayn. He struggles to get through the ropes. Even the folks in KO shirts are on their feet clapping.

[Q3] Big "Thank you, Zayn" chant. He is humble and thanks the crowd. He reminds us that he had shoulder surgery and this is the first time he has gotten to take some time out of rehab. He knows it is corny, but he wanted to thank the fans and let them know they are in his mind. he says the update is "no surprise, things have kind of sucked." It's been rough because 2014 was the best year of his career, here are NXT at FSU.

But, 2015 has been the worst year of his career, and it will stay lousy because he probably won't be back before the end of the year. But he is not "doom and gloom Sami," he isn't finished. He has goals. Like finding a comfortable position to sleep in, being able to lift his arm more than 90 degrees, and to come back and get his NXT championship back. Nothing motivates like revenge.

He tells Kevin Owens to not think that he is in the rear-view mirror just because he is on Raw weekly. The last 12 years were about Zayn and Owens, and so will the next 12 years. He gets in the camera and says he is coming for Owens. The crowd is on their feet to see wee him out. I am sure there was a tear in his eye.

[ J.J.'s Reax: Sami Zayn is one of the most genuine people on the roster. It would take the most jaded fan to not emotionally invest in Zayn. ]

Footage of William Regal at Comic Con is shown. Regal announces the re-match between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens for the NXT Title the night before SummerSlam on NXT Takeover: Brooklyn. Why doesn't Sami Zayn need a sling at the press conference? Why can he move his arm just fine? Balor talks up how perfect it was to win in Tokyo. Owens says that while it was special for Balor to win in Japan, Brooklyn has been a second home to him and he will win there.

Charlotte comes out with plenty of time in the night for a quality match against Sasha Banks. Poor hype for the main event, overall, though. With both Banks and Charlotte heading to Raw, the future of the title is very much so up in the air. I would not be surprised to see a set up for a way to get the title off Banks and onto neither Charlotte or Banks.

4 - NXT Women's champion SASHA BANKS vs. CHARLOTTE - NXT Women's Championship match

A bit of non-contact to start. Hot tie-up and Charlotte forces Banks to the corner, then does the Flair Strut. Another lockup and they end up on the mat, rolling each other around. Banks forces Charlotte to the mat. They break. Banks charges into a shoulder. Head scissors sends Banks to the ropes and Charlotte kips up. Banks with a handful of hair and she jaws at Charlotte. Charlotte locks her legs around Banks's head and rolls her all over the ring. Charlotte charges, but takes an elbow. Charlotte with an elbow through the corner but eats knees. Double knees in the corner from Banks.

[ Break ]

[Q4] Banks has Charlotte in a hold out of the break and is wearing her down. Someone has an awesome sign, a giant $100 bill with Banks's face on it.

Banks does the Flair Strut over a prone Charlotte. Jawbreaker from Charlotte, but she can't break free. Banks with her straightjacket hold that the lanky, flexible Charlotte sells so well. Charlotte flips out, but Banks grabs Charlotte's head with her knees and slams Charlotte's face into the mat repeatedly. Banks has Charlotte totally grounded.

The crowd tries to rally Charlotte, but Banks grabs a leg to pull Charlotte into a cover while keeping the hold on. Charlotte rolls over, then stands up. Charlotte ties a powerbomb, Banks holds on, Charlotte stands up again, and she nails the powerbomb. Just gorgeous. Double count from the ref. They go back and forth with forearms and chops. Neckbreaker, then a spear from Charlotte gets a nearfall. Charlotte with a brutal look, then she wants a suplex, but Banks lands on her feet, and Banks with a neckbreaker into a cover for a nearfall.

Both women are barely mobile at this point. Banks stands up and yells at Charlotte, then slaps her. Charlotte stands up, slaps her back, and chops her into the corner. Charlotte is risking a DQ. Banks with boots in the corner, pops out, and nails a big boot. Charlotte with the Figure Four, but Banks with a small package to counter. Wheelbarrow from Charlotte, but Banks reverses into a cover for a nearfall. Banks unloads fury into the ref's face.

Banks with an evil look, then she looks for the Figure-four, but Charlotte slips out. Charlotte rolls through a cover, Figure-four, and Charlotte has a handful of her own hair. They slap each other. They roll, Banks gets to the ropes, and Charlotte rolls through the ropes to the apron while maintaining the hold for the full five count. Crazy intensity.

Crucifix from Banks and a handful of tights, Charlotte out. Charlotte with a cover, and it's for two. Charlotte wants a slam, but Banks slips out. Backstabber into the Bank Statement. Charlotte is bent in half and Charlotte somehow rolls into a cover for one, but Banks rolls back in to the Bank Statement. Charlotte barely is able to tap.

WINNER: Sasha Banks in 13:37. Charlotte and Banks make magic in the ring again. This match showed why Banks and Charlotte have earned a spot on the main roster... and why they will be totally wasted there. This match lasted as long as three weeks's worth of main roster Divas matches combined.

Post-match, Banks is highly emotional and barely able to accept the title from the ref. After recovering, Charlotte is completely in tears, and hugs Banks. Charlotte raises Banks's hand, then they hug again.

Final Reax: NXT is in a weird state where so many key people on the roster are spending a lot of time on Raw and Smackdown. At the same time, it is opening up room for people like Emma, Dana Brooke, Tyler Breeze, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe to really shine. In some ways, NXT is starting to feel very "big time," like the clip at Comic Con. But, it still retains its mission by doing things like trying to salvage Eva Marie as a Developmental system. The Women's Championship match is must-watch just like the other Charlotte-Banks encounters. Super intense match. These two are just gold in the ring.
