[Q1] Pre-credits advertised that tonight is "Championship Week" on NXT. Charlotte vs. Bayley and Adrian Neville vs. Tyson Kidd are emphasized.

The booth is Alex Riley, Jason Albert, and Rich Brennan.

Bayley is out immediately for her match with Charlotte. Charlotte with smiles and a handslap for a kid on her way to the ring. NXT has been playing "Who's the heel?" lately. If Charlotte loses tonight, I suspect we will be seeing her on the main roster soon.

1 - NXT Women's champion CHARLOTTE vs. BAYLEY - NXT Women's Championship match

They tie up early and Charlottes forces Bayley in the corner, but she slips out. Bayley with four quick cover attempts until Charlotte knocks her down. Charlotte rolls out of the ring to recover her bearings. Single leg takedown and Charlotte works an angle. Bayley wants a backslide by Charlotte is too tall, so Bayley settles for an arm drag into an armbar.

Bayley with more cover attempts. Bayley is out-wrestling Charlotte on the mat. Charlotte wants a takedown, Bayley counters with a backslide attempt, Charlotte counters the backslide and starts to work the leg again. Charlotte looks like she will tear the leg in half headed into break.

[ Break ]

Bayley is barely able to stand in the corner as Charlotte ties her in the ropes then knees her hamstrings. Charlotte continues to torque the knee. Where is Matt Striker to describe the way the knee is bending? Bayley finally kicks Charlotte off of her but it is a short-lived reprieve. Charlotte wants to stomp the knee, but Bayley surprises with a schoolgirl. Elbows give Bayley some room, jackknife for two. Bayley is fighting on one leg, but a vicious chop block puts Bayley down again.

Charlotte uses the ringpost and apron to wreck the knee even more. Charlotte slaps on the figure four leg lock mid ring and Bayley is desperate to get out. Charlotte bridges to make the pressure worse and force a cover for two. Bayley rolls over and reverses the hold but Charlotte easily gets the rope. Charlotte whiffs a retaliatory knee drop. Bayley has Charlotte in the corner.

[Q2] Flying elbow from the second rope, cover for a nearfall and Charlotte is astounded. Charlotte blocks a bodyslam, neckbreaker, Natural Selection for the win.

WINNER: Charlotte in 11:40. Bayley took a heck of a beating in that match. Charlotte looked pretty nasty here. Really liked seeing a women's match like this.

Post-match, Charlotte shows respect to Bayley, helps her up, and gives her a hug, then a handshake. Charlotte is occupying a strange tweener champion role with no strong contenders for her title left.

"Rick Viktor" is now just "Viktor" and he "Konnor O'Brian" is now merely "Konnor." Viktor is facing Hideo Itami, who once was KENTA.

Konnor won't leave the ring before the match, and as soon as Itami gets in, The Ascension jump him and pick him apart. The announcers point out that Itami hasn't been in NXT long enough to have any friends on the locker room. The refs flood the ring to get control of the situation. A trainer checks on Itami post-assault. Itami sells a possible concussion. Brennan leads us right into a recap discussion of the Carmella situation.

Cassady with a cell phone video of them training Carmella at the Performance Center. Amore tries to flirt with her teaching a tie up, but she launches into it and gets aggressive. Amore with a waistlock and he gets creepy, so she dropkicks him out of the ring. Amore is not thrilled and demands that Cassady bury the footage.

Baron Corbin is out with his new presentation. Good reaction for Corbin. He's facing "already in the ring" Troy McClane.

2 - BARON CORBIN vs. TROY MCCLANE

Corbin tosses McClane around with ease. The End of Days wraps it up.

WINNER: Baron Corbin in 1:00. Team Corbin and Bull Dempsey up and you would have a pretty fun team.

Backstage video with Tyson Kidd. He says he just needs one last chance, one-on-one with Adrian Neville to win. The cameraman asks about Natalya getting Kidd the match, so Kidd walks away.

Backstage video with The Legionnaires, they want a match with Amore and Cassady next week.

[Q3] The Vaudevillains are out with new music. They are facing Tye Dillinger and Jason Jordan.

3 - TYE DILLINGER & JASON JORDAN vs. THE VAUDEVILLAINS (AIDEN ENGLISH & SIMON GOTCH) - Tag Team match

English dodges Dillenger, who responds by popping his pecs. Gotch and English double team Dillinger. Dillinger gets Gotch into the corner and tags in Jordan. Gotch brings in English. Jordan dumps English into the ropes. Dillinger drops a knee pad to knee English in the face. English escapes and tags in Gotch. Gotch cleans house on Dillinger. Jordan tries to interfere by Gotcha dispatches him with an airplane spin. Airplane spin to Dinninger, rolling senton, second rope senton from English for the win.

WINNERS: The Vaudevillains in 4:30. Nice back-and-forth match here.

Post-match, Titus O'Neil shows up in the front row.

Backstage, Itami is icing his neck. What looks like Funaki shows up and congratulates him. He says he is worried about Itami, and vows to help him out against The Ascension.

Backstage, Devin Taylor interviews Bayley. Bayley says she won't quit, and every time she faces Charlotte she gets better, and gets closer to winning. Sasha Banks blasts her from behind and mocks her. She's now the "baddest boss in NXT."

Adrian Neville gets some boos during his entrance and introduction.

4 - NXT champion ADRIAN NEVILLE vs. TYSON KIDD - NXT Title match

They tangle on the mat early on. Shoulder block puts Neville on the mat. They trade control on the mat. Schoolboy gets one for Neville.

[Q4] Kidd unloads with forearms to the face, then chops in the corner. Neville kicks Kidd's leg on the apron, then kicks him in the face from the apron.

[ Break ]

Kidd attacks Neville's knee and goes on sustained, hard-hitting offense. Neville has to powerbomb Kidd with one arm to shake Kidd off his arm. Neville gets some steam. Heel kick from nowhere stops Neville in his tracks. Sunset flip, Kidd rolls through and hits a drop kick. Spinning brainbuster from Kidd, but Neville barely kicks out. Kidd goes to the top, but an enziguiri stuns him on the turnbuckle. Neville wants a superplex, but Kidd goes for a sunset flip powerbomb, Neville lands on his feet and nails Kidd with a dropkick to the face. Sitout powerbomb straight into a cover from Neville gets a close nearfall.

Kidd is totally torn up, covered in bruises and cuts and scrapes. Neville to the top, but Kidd springs up for a moment. Neville kicks him away, Red Arrow, Kidd rolls under, Neville lands on his feet. Kidd wants a spring board move, Neville counters with a dropkick, Kidd lands on his feet, catches Neville and transitions to a Sharpshooter mid-ring. Neville makes it to the ropes. Low bridge sends Kidd out of the ring, but he slips in before Neville can fly to the outside. Kidd wants to hit Neville outside the ring, but Neville hits a roundhouse to the head to stun him. Titus O'Neil nails Neville on the outside when the ref is checking out Kidd.

The ref starts counting. Sami Zayn comes out of nowhere and nails O'Neil with the Helluva Kick, then starts begging Neville to get up. Neville slips in at nine. Kidd puts Neville on the top, but a front suplex puts Kidd on the mat. Red Arrow and Kidd's championship dreams are over.

WINNER: Adrian Neville in 13:20. Top-flight match. Non-stop action with plenty of unique spots. Interesting story being told here with Zayn, O'Neil, and Kidd.

Post-match, Zayn makes it clear that he protected Neville because he wants to win the title from Neville. Kidd sells utter dejection. JoJo announces that Kidd has no more championship opportunities, just to make the point very clear.
