Report by Justin James, PWTorch contributor

The big news from this week is, of course, Alexander Rusev's dominating victory over Zack Ryder on Raw. No wait, I mean the Bo Dallas and Adam Rose vignettes. No wait, I mean... Paige's unexpected debut ending in her capturing the Diva's Championship! Huge congratulations are in order for Paige, who is currently both the NXT and Divas champion. I hope that this means that we will see more minutes of Paige, though I highly doubt it given the time the Divas Division gets on the main roster.

[Q1] Pre-signature "In Memory of Warrior" graphic. Either Tom Philips has a cold, or we have a new announcer. Jason Albert and Alex Riley are also in the booth.

Adam Rose comes out for a match. He's facing Danny Burch.

1 - ADAM ROSE vs. DANNY BURCH

Rose dances after the bell as the crowd sings his song, so Burch knocks him silly. Rose does his rope kicking routine, then kicks Burch when he gets too close. Rose with offense and an armbar. Bronco Buster followed by a spinebuster sets Burch up for a second rope elbow drop for the win.

WINNER: Adam Rose in 2:55. Rose has changed up his offense to feel more casual to fit his character, which is a good thing. The crowd is eating this up. There's a spot for this kind of gimmick and it plays a role in the wrestling promotion, but I am not a huge fan of the comedy characters for the most part.

The new announcer is revealed to be Rich Brennan, who looks like he could be Todd Grisham's younger brother.

Devin Taylor interviews Shawn Bennett, the referee from last week's Zayn vs. Graves match. He explains that safety of the "competitors" is his number one priority, and that he called the match because Zayn was unresponsive. Taylor then interviews Graves. Graves says that a win is a win regardless of how he got it. Nice delivery from Graves, who has dropped his voice to a menacing near-whisper.

Bayley is out. With Paige presumably heading to the main roster full time, Bayley is really the only face female left on the roster, unless Renee Young or Eden Styles are going to lace up some boots. Bayley is facing Sasha Banks. Charlotte carries the Summer Rae on a Stick.

2 - BAYLEY vs. SASHA BANKS (w/Charlotte)

Quick takedown from Banks for one. Banks with more aggression. Banks wants a slam but Bayley slides down, but Banks sits on it for two. The crowd mocks the "Boss" with "Sawft." Banks tramples Bayley in the corner. Albert points out that Bayley may be naive but she has a better record than Banks.

Bayley rallies. Jumping back elbow knocks Banks down. There's a string of counters and reversals ending in the Hugplex for the won.

WINNER: Bayley in 3:30. These two tried really hard to put on an advanced level match, with numerous counters and creative spots. While it sometimes was clunky, credit due where credit is due for stepping outside the comfort zone. This has been a common theme for the NXT women, and it is great to see them trying to put on a higher level of match than the typical WWE Diva's match. Sasha Banks has zero credibility left at this point, and the roster needs to be restocked with faces pronto.

[Q2] Sylvester Lefort makes his return. I've missed him. He has a jacket with a French flag and a dollar sign. He's facing Mojo Rawley.

3 - MOJO RAWLEY vs. SYLVESTER LEFORT

Rawley immediately corners Lefort and confounds him with his rolls. Big pair of Stinger Splashes, the Rear View, Hyperdrive for the win.

WINNER: Mojo Rawley in 0:45. Rawley has such a great connection with the crowd.

Post-match, Brodus Clay comes out to deliver a powerbomb to a "Better than Batista" chant, followed by a second rope splash. He gets on the mic to complain about his lack of push, then calls out Adrian Neville. Neville's music hits to bring him out.

Neville says that Clay does a lot of complaining for a "main event player" and says that the difference between them is that Neville doesn't waste his opportunities. Neville gets in Clay's face and is not intimidated. They go toe-to-toe, but Clay backs out of the ring.

[ J.J.'s Reax: Good segment to make Neville look like a fighting champion who is afraid of no one. ]

Devin Taylor is about to interview the returning Oliver Grey, but Camacho interrupts. Camacho calls Adam Rose a poseur and says that he is the real deal. Grey tells him to stop worrying about Rose, and offers a match. Camacho kind of sniffs and walks away.

Video package on NXT at Axxess. Sylvester Lefort leads the crowd in a "Oui! Oui!" chant. Heh.

Devin Taylor interviews Great Khali. I think he says it feels good. Then Bayley hugs him and says she is "great now." C.J. Parker comes out with a sour look on his face, and says that he hopes Khali recycles because he clearly produces a lot more human waste than the average person. Bayley has been taking Punjabi lessons, and translates. Khali booked himself against Parker next week.

[Q3] Bo Dallas is out with a "special announcement." He insists that it is "still Bo time" with regards to the title opportunities. He says that Daniel Bryan, a "B-Plus player," got a title shot by occupying Raw, so he is going to occupy NXT. He says that the Bo-movement (I'm not touching that), and that the members of the Bo-movement are here to stand in solidarity with him. The crowd stands up and turns their backs on Dallas and chant "No! No!" Dallas is angry because he got them cookies. His voice is cracking as his facade finally cracks after nearly a year. "This stinks!" and he leaves the ring. The crowd boos him, so he goes back into the ring where he breaks down. Odd time to cut to a "don't try this at home."

After the PSA, Dallas is utterly falling apart. He is in tears as the crowd chants "no more Bo!" He finally hears it, and tries to pep himself up with "let's go Bo." A triangle sounds and JBL comes out for the first time in months. "Wrestling God" chant. JBL doesn't know what he would do with a ring of Bo-lievers, but luckily "you don't have enough people to occupy a see saw in that ring." JBL says that there is no title match for Dallas tonight, then introduces Justin Gabriel as Dallas's opponent. With his current hair style, he looks like a miniature version of Mason Ryan.

[ J.J.'s Reax: Perfect segment from Dallas. I wish this could translate to his in-ring product. Great reference to the cookies from months ago. ]

4 - JUSTIN GABRIEL vs. BO DALLAS

Gabriel's speed provides quick advantage, and Dallas scampers out of the ring. The crowd picks up a "we want cookies!" chant as Dallas feels his way back to the ring. Dallas turns up the aggression... with a headlock. Gabriel back on the attack. Dallas out of the ring again, then in, then back out. He takes advantage of Gabriel on the way back in. Dallas with his slow 'n steady offense. He's improving his in-ring storytelling nicely to compensate for his moveset and style. Gabriel reverses a whip to buy a reset.

[Q4] Gabriel attacks first to gain the edge. Slingshot crossbody gets a nearfall for Gabriel. They trade shots mid-ring. Dallas catches a huracanrana attempt but Gabriel slips down for a DDT, but Dallas blocks and hits a DDT of his own. Very close nearfall. Dallas wants a double underhook DDT, but Gabriel counters with a fisherman's suplex for two. Springboard moonsault, but Dallas rolls under. Dallas wants the double underhook DDT, but Gabriel counters with a small package for two. Dallas kicks a knee, and hits the underhook DDT for the win.

WINNER: Bo Dallas in 10:01. Dallas has had a pair of good matches back-to-back. Maybe it is working with Neville and now Gabriel, or he has been really working hard, but it is a welcome change from his matches a few months ago.
