WWE NXT TV Results
November 2, 2010 - Season 3, Week 9
Taped in Bridgeport, Conn.
Aired on WWE's website
By James Caldwell, PWTorch assistant editor

A reminder of the cast of Season Three of WWE NXT:
-- Rookie: A.J. Lee. Pro: Primo.
-- Rookie: Naomi. Pro: Kelly Kelly.
-- Rookie: Maxine. Pro: Alicia Fox.
-- Rookie: Aksana. Pro: Goldust.
-- Rookie: Jamie Keyes. Pros: Bella Twins.
-- Rookie: Kaitlyn. Pro: Vickie Guerrero.

Immunity Standings:
-- Naomi: 3 points
-- A.J.: 1 point
-- Kaitlyn: 1 point
-- Maxine: 1 point
-- Aksana: 0 points

The show opened with Michael Cole and Josh Mathews introducing the show on Election Night. Matt Striker then brought out the five NXT Rookies. Striker said the Rookies can still earn immunity with two contests tonight before the second elimination. But, since Aksana has zero points, she mathematically cannot earn immunity. So, she was sent to the back to prepare for her wedding to Goldust later.

Striker gave Hornswoggle some PG instructions to let him know which Rookie makes him "feel happy inside." Kaitlyn was first. She dropped down to Hornswoggle's level and teased a kiss before Horny just grabbed her and planted a kiss. Striker made a "little person" stereotype joke, befitting of WWE programming.

Maxine was next and cut the romance music. She's not kissing Hornswoggle...or Striker. Maxine told Horny to just leave the ring. Horny got the sympathy awwwws from the crowd on the way out of the ring. Greeting Horny was Cody Rhodes as the next kiss recipient here. Cody noted he's here for his brother's wedding, which was a nice bit of continuity. He said he's also here to bring something "dashing" to the show.

Kaitlyn had to go again and planted a kiss on Cody that impressed him. After Maxine's turn, Naomi cut the music. She said she wouldn't kiss Cody if he were the last man on earth. Not only that, but kissing those lips after those two? Naomi said he wants to lose this challenge, so keep it moving. Cody said he already has enough girls carrying around his bags, and Naomi clearly has enough baggage to begin with, referring to her backside.

After that exchange, Cody approached A.J. next and proceeded to file her nails. Cody said she's probably never kissed a girl before. A.J. then planted a big kiss on Cody, who fell back on the mat. He declared A.J. the winner, pushing A.J. to two points and one point away from Naomi.

Announcers: They cut to Cole and Mathews ringside. Cole was sporting a t-shirt tuxedo for the wedding. He told the audience they can vote him off the show along with the other Rookies.

Backstage: Primo caught up with A.J. in the hallway. He said that when he saw Cody kissing A.J., he got a little jealous. A.J. said she's been meaning to tell him something all season, so she figures it's a good time for a private conversation in case she's eliminated. A.J. led Primo by the hand into a side locker room door, but Dusty Rhodes was there hanging out with the Bellas. Dusty asked if he could help Primo. Dusty told Primo there is no room in this inn. Cole screamed that the Bellas were supposed to be his dates.

[Break]

In-ring: Alicia Fox was prepared for a match, then Kelly Kelly came out to face Alicia. Cole said he got a text from someone named FPJ questioning Mathews's ring attire. Cue up the mysterious texts involving initials in WWE.

1 -- ALICIA FOX vs. KELLY KELLY

Cole and Mathews debated Taylor Swift, who dropped a tune on "Dancing with the Stars" earlier tonight, trying to seem "relevant" on this Internet broadcast. In the ring, Kelly and Alicia exchanged control before Kelly hit a modified Rocker Dropper for the pin and the win. Cole mocked the execution of the move, which wasn't exactly fluid.

WINNER: Kelly in 2:00. It happened.

Backstage: Primo and A.J. were looking for another side room and they found Maxine making out with Hornswoggle. Maxine put on her worst acting face trying to say it's not what they think. He was choking. Or he had something in his beard. A.J. and Primo walked off looking for another side room.

[Break]

In-ring: Striker hosted the latest round of competitions. They were standing behind a table, which was covered with wedding gifts. It's basically Double Dare trying to find the flag inside one of the boxes. Striker told them to go. Cue up some wedding music and Kaitlyn found the flag. Vickie just shrugged on the stage. So, Naomi gets the

Final Immunity Standings:
-- Naomi: 3 points
-- A.J.: 2 points
-- Kaitlyn: 2 points
-- Maxine: 1 point
-- Aksana: 0 points

Announcers: Mathews gave the old "Stand Up" line about WWE coming under scrutiny and "unfounded criticism" from the media. Mathews fed to a P.R. video on second and third generation wrestlers talking about their memories as kids hanging out in WWE during the 1980s era (which led to countless wrestler deaths). Anyways, the video package glorifying the 1980s included Randy Orton, Husky Harris, the Usos, Joe Hennig, Natalya, D.H. Smith, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, and Goldust out of character as Dustin Rhodes talking about "fulfilling their dreams" in this era.

Back to Cole, who said WWE is all about "family focus." Mathews said it's their time to "Stand Up for WWE" at this time. Cole then sighed and said they have to snap back to reality now. An NXT elimination is coming up soon.

[Break]

In-ring: The wedding ceremony was being set up in the ring.

Backstage: Back to A.J. and Promo, who found a "private spot" in front of a few thousand viewers watching online. A.J. leaned against a crate, which suddenly began rocking. Inside were Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn making out. Vickie Guerrero spotted them on the Videotron and stomped off to the back as Dolph and Kaitlyn tried to explain things to Primo and A.J. Vickie then shoved Kaitlyn from behind, setting off a shouting match. Big Dick Johnson and someone else were trying to carry the wedding cake backstage to the ring, but Kaitlyn grabbed it and threw it in Vickie's face. Cole noted BDJ's presence as Vickie screamed her classic scream to conclude the bit.

[Break]

Wedding: Out first for the wedding was Cody Rhodes as Mathews asked who the wedding coordinator is. Cole said "Johnny Ace" is the wedding coordinator. Dusty Rhodes then came out as the father of the groom. Cole said he thinks "Fozzy" is performing at the reception. Hornswoggle then came out as the ring bearer. Cue up Goldust's theme music and the groom entered the ring with possession of the Million Dollar Title belt. Cole said he thought Goldust and Cody hated each other. Mathews told Cole it's not a real wedding. Cole shot back, "You mean this is a fake wedding?" Cole then mocked his P.R. line sarcastically saying WWE is all about family.

After everyone was asked to stand up, Aksana came out sporting a golden wedding dress. Mathews said he hasn't seen a more beautiful bride. Cole said his wife on her wedding day. He added he's trying to score points at home since he hasn't been home in a while. The "presiding minister" dryly and monotonously introduced the wedding before asking Aksana and Goldust to receipt their vows. The audience chimed in with "What?!" chants. Aksana thanked Goldust for saving her. She started a "U-S-A" chant as Cole said this sounds like an Ed Koskie production. Are we getting a Lagana name-drop tonight? The "minister" stumbled over his lines as the announcers said it looks like Al Wilson. The minister said he objects to this wedding. Because everyone has a price.

Out came Ted DiBiase and Maryse to interrupt. DiBiase said this isn't the first time money has destroyed a marriage. Is this Vince writing a promo on Linda's failed $50 campaign? DiBiase then brought out the immigration dude. DiBiase said there is one thing Goldust can do to save this pathetic sham of a wedding. Dusty Rhodes then cut a promo about going to the Pope, then going down to Mississippi to find a real minister. He said he needs him to come make this lovely couple feel good. So, Mr. Minister, come on down, jack. You knew it. Out came "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. DiBiase, Sr. walked by Ted, Jr., who sold shock. Mathews mocked the coincidence of these events occurring.

DiBiase, Sr. entered the ring and shook hands as Ted, Jr. asked why his dad is doing this. Ted, Sr. said the look on his son's face right now is priceless. He asked for the rings and asked Goldust and Aksana to exchange I Dos. DiBiase pronounced them "man and wife" and told Goldust to plant a kiss. Dusty Rhodes suddenly scored a kiss, which drew a look of shock from Goldust. Goldust went for his kiss, but Aksana slapped him and walked off. Aksana acted like a heel strutting out of the ring after conning poor Goldust into marriage. Cole said Goldust will have to go back on the Internet tonight.

[Break]

Moments Ago: Aksana slapped Goldust after the marriage become official.

Ringside: Back to ringside for the next elimination, Aksana admired her work as they replayed the wedding finish on the video screen. Striker recapped Naomi having immunity from elimination here. For the rest of them, it's time for one of them to go home. Cole wanted to know if everyone could go home. Mathews asked for a quick prediction and Cole said he doesn't care. Drumroll, please...

Maxine has been eliminated. Maxine was given promo time and she said she is not the typical Diva or typical woman, for that matter. She interacted with a guy on the front row before vowing to come back. No heat. Maxine said she will continue to aim for coming out on top. Striker called her a "unique talent." Mathews said the worst news out of this is that four Rookies still remain. And this season must continue. Cole said there are still four more weeks remaining. "Go away," Cole shouted as they faded to black.

FINAL THOUGHTS: What a mess of another "WWE vanity hour" with the show basically written to entertain themselves and everyone backstage.
