Warbeard is ready for the opening Four-Way match.

(1) Hanson vs. Brian Fury vs. Julian Starr vs. Antonio Atama in a Fatal Four-Way XWA Showcase match. It was all action during the early going. Hanson did a cartwheel and nailed Fury with a big clothesline, but Atami caught him by surprise with a dropkick. The action went to the outside and Starr hit a crazy dive to the outside stepping up the ropes and going into a trust fall to wipe out everyone and the fans went nuts. Atama had Fury in the black widow and Hanson ran into the ring and suplexed both men. Holy s---! Hanson deaf-lifted Fury up into the suplex position and dropped him down over his knee for a 2 count. Hanson and Fury had a great exchange that ended when Hanson nailed him with a roundhouse kick and everyone was down. Atama ended up getting the black widow on Starr a short time later and he tapped out.

Winner: Antonio Atama

Star rating: (***1/2) – This was a fantastic opening four-way. The crowd was into the action and really fired up for Hanson’s insane German suplex on Starr while Atami had him in the black widow.

(2) Juicy Product (J.T. Dunn & David Starr) vs. The Throwbacks (Mr. Touchdown Mark Angelosetti & Dasher Hatfield). Angelosetti and Dunn exchanged taunts during the early going with Angelosetti doing the Tebow pose and Dunn returning fire with crotch chops from his back. Both men began exchanging blows. Hatfield dragged Dunn to the floor and Touchdown tossed Starr out of the ring. Touchdown then hit a corkscrew press to the floor. Dunn ended up getting isolated inside the ring while Hatfield and Touchdown worked him over. Dunn fired back and tagged in Starr, who took s slap on the backside from Hatfield. The Throwbacks worked over Starr for a long period of time. Starr ended up tripping Hatfield with a log roll and Dunn came off the top and nailed him with a double stomp. Dunn ran wild hitting all sorts of dives in and out of the ring. Starr finally covered Hatfield after Dunn nailed him with a slingshot X-factor for a near fall and the fans fired up. Starr called from high-flying wrestling and hit a crotch thrust off the ropes on Hatfield. Hatfield managed to tag out and Touchdown wiped out Starr with a dive off the top. Touchdown ended up lifting up Starr and he ran him right into Dunn, but it was only good for a 2 count. The Throwbacks ended up hitting a 3D on Starr, but Dunn broke up the pin. Juicy Product nailed Touchdown with a big combination of moves capped by a rolling elbow from Dunn, but Hatfield broke up the pin. They went to another big exchange that ended with Dunn nailing Touchdown with a pendulum rolling elbow and the fans went nuts.

Michael Bennett came down to ringside and pulled the ref out of the ring. Bennett got on the mic said they could just keep beating the crap out of each other because the ref was knocked out. Bennett said it was nothing personal and they had just put on a heck of a match. Bennett said Biff Busick is a pussy and this was now the Mike Bennett. Dunn got on the mic and told Bennett to shut up. Dunn said just because Busick is on the other coast, doesn’t mean Bennett can take over. Dunn said Bennett had just screwed the fans out of an ending, which makes him a douchebag. The fans chanted douchebag at Bennett. Dunn said they were going to put their feet up Bennett’s a--. Dunn said if Bennett is looking for a fight, it’s a fight he’s going to have. Dunn called out Kimber Lee, who got a big pop. Lee got on the mic and said if Bennett is such a man and was going to ruin a match for the fans, she was here to make sure he didn’t do anything else. Dunn & Starr threw chops at Bennett on Lee’s crotch. Bennett asked them if they were serious about bringing a girl out to face him. Dunn said Lee is a wrestler. The fans chanted “She’s a wrestler.” Bennett said Maria was more of a woman than Lee will ever be. He said Maria got top the top on her brains and not her knees. Lee said she’s undefeated and is going to make Bennett her bitch tonight. The fans chanted “You’re her bitch” at Bennett. Bennett accepted the match. The fans chanted for Lee and the Throwbacks, Juicy Product, and Lee raised their hands for the fans. The fans then chanted “Please come back at the Throwbacks.

Winners: No contest

Star rating: (***1/4) – This was a heck of a match minus the non-finish, but Bennett got a ton of heat coming out and disrupting the match just when it appeared to be building to the finish. This type of finish wouldn’t have worked in many places, but the fans ate up the setup for Lee vs. Bennett, which was really well done.

Stockade vs. Tremont in a Hoss division battle.

(3) Matt Tremont vs. Stockade. Both men traded punches in the middle of the ring to open The Battle of the Bulls. Tremont got the upper hand and worked over Stockade in the corner. The pace was slow with Tremont in control. Stockade eventually managed to fend off a sleeper from Tremont by falling on his back with Tremont on top of him. Stockade mounted a comeback and hit a leg drop for a 2 count. Stockade eventually went for a leg drop off the second rope, but Tremont got out of the way. Tremont hit a Samoan drop on Stockade and both men were down. Stockade rolled to the outside and Tremont followed him. Tremont grabbed Stockade by the hair and slammed him into the concrete. Stockade ended up cutting off Tremont on the apron before he slammed him to the floor. Tremont went for a big elbow off the apron, but Tremont got out of the way. They ended up brawling on the floor and the ref counted them out.

Both men continued to brawl and ended up taking it to the outside and the fans followed them. The hard camera obviously couldn’t follow them to the outside.

Winner: No winner due to a double count out – this match seemed really flat and the crowd just couldn’t get into it, although they fired up down the stretch when both men brawled out of the venue after the ref called for a double count out.

(4) The Hooligans (Mason & Devin Cutter) vs. Aeroform (Flip Kendrick & Louis Lyndon) in a TFT3 Preview match. Lyndon caught Mason with a roll through into a splash during the early stages of the match. It was hard to hear one of the commentators. Devin and Kendrick went at it next and Kendrick got the upper hand and hit a standing cannonball moonsault and the fans went nuts. Kendrick went for a flip dive through the ropes, but came up short and took a nasty spill to the floor. Kendrick then followed up and wiped out Devin with an inside out moonsault. Mason sent the crowd into a frenzy with an Asai moonsault to the outside that wiped out everyone. The Hooligans isolated Kendrick and began working him over. They hit a second rope leg drop/standing moonsault combination for a 2 count at one point.

BW4.JPG
Hooligans with the assisted corkscrew press on Lyndon.

A short time later, they hit an assisted corkscrew press on Lyndon, but Kendrick broke up the pin. Holy s---! The Hooligans went for another tandem maneuver, but Lyndon nailed Mason with a knee to the jaw when he went for a splash off Devin’s back. He hit a DDT on Devin a short time later, but Mason made the save. The action broke down and Lyndon back dropped Mason to the floor. Kendrick whipped Lyndon towards the corner, but he wiped out Mason with a dive through the ropes instead of hitting Devin. Kendrick then nailed Mason with a big splash in the corner. Kendrick went up top with the Hooligans on the floor and wiped them out with a twisting corkscrew splash to the floor and the fans went nuts. Kendrick got Devin on his shoulders, but Devin managed to break up a double team attempt off the top. The Hooligans then nailed Kendrick with a series of moves in the corner. Devin then draped Kendrick over his knee and Mason came off the top with a leg drop, but Kendrick broke up the pin. There were some awkward exchanges and Kendrick hit a corkscrew press off the ropes on Devin for a 2 count. Kendrick went up top for a SSP double stomp, but Devin got out of the way. The Hooligans hit a backpack chin breaker/double stomp combination for a near fall, which really should have been the finish. The Hooligans then hit a wheelbarrow DDT on Kendrick for the win.

The fans chanted for both teams after the match. Both teams shook hands after the match. All four men raised their hands and the fans cheered.

Winners: Mason & Devin Cutter

Star rating: (**3/4) – This match was so good at times, but at other times it was really sloppy. The ref could have done a better job of covering them when the Hooligans had a clear pin and he didn’t even bother counting. Although both teams didn’t seem to be on the same page, there was a lot of crazy action in this match. There was a really scary spot where Kendrick nearly killed himself coming up short on a flip dive.

BW5.JPG
Thatcher vs. Gresham technical clinic.

(5) Timothy Thatcher vs. Jonathan Gresham. Gresham got on top of Thatcher and began working over his arm while wrenching on his fingers. Thatcher screamed in pain at one point, but managed to counter Gresham. Thatcher got a nasty arm lock on Gresham, but he managed to back himself into the corner to break the hold. Thatcher got on top of Gresham and began bending his fingers and Gresham tried to counter him, but Thatcher maintained the arm submission. Thatcher got another arm submission on the mat and bent Greshman’s wrist back, but he managed to eventually get to the ropes. Both men eventually locked legs and did a headstand, but they ended up shaking hands before coming to a stalemate and the fans applauded. The pace picked up and Gresham nailed Thatcher with some big chops in the corner, but he no-sold them and took Gresham down with a big uppercut. Thatcher did a wrist lock suplex and went right back after the arm. Thatcher hit his signature rolling gut-wrench suplexes, but Gresham managed to kick out at 2. Gresham fired back and hit a tornado suplex and went for a figure four, but Gresham blocked it. Gresham eventually got the figure 4 and Thatcher sat up and glared at him, but ended up going back down to the mat because of the pain. Thatcher hit a head butt, but Gresham held onto the hold. Thatcher eventually reversed the hold, but Gresham had a hard time reaching it because of the damage to his left arm. Gresham eventually broke the hold and sold his left arm. Both men began exchanging blows in the middle of the ring. Gresham eventually grounded Thatcher with a big forearm out of the corner. Thatcher fired back and slammed Gresham arm-first into the mat. Gresham then grabbed an arm bar, but Gresham got the ropes. Gresham dropkicked Thatcher’s legs out from under him before hitting a German and rolling him up in a pinning combination.

Both men shook hands after the match.

Winner: Jonathan Gresham

Star rating: (***1/2) – This was a really good technical match with both guys exchanging holds on the mat. Both men did some really good submission work, especially when they focused on the arm. Gresham eventually went after Thatcher’s leg and it paid off in the end.

Eric Corvis was with Davey Vega and Ricky Shane Page cutting a promo when Crusade for Change interrupted him. The fans called Carter a pussy after Corvis said Carter always runs from him. They continued to go back and forth on the mic and the match was on.

(6) Eric Corvis & Ricky Shane & Davey Vega vs. Crusade For Change (Darius Carter & T.J. Marconi & Dany Only). Crusade for Change dragged Corvis to the floor, but Page wiped out everyone with a splash to the floor off the top. Vega went to town on Carter inside the ring a short time later. Carter fired back and went for a suplex, but Vega countered it and dropped him down neck-first onto his knee. The announcers said Corvis wants Crusade for Change gone as he exchanged blows with Marconi. Page and Only ended up going at it in the ring. Only whipped him sternum first into the corner and followed up with a Saito suplex. The action broke down and Corvis wiped out Carter and Marconi with a flip dive to the floor. He tried to get back into the ring, but Only kicked the middle rope into his crotch. The Crusade for Change isolated Corvis inside the ring and nailed him with an assisted Yakuza kick. Page stood tall in the middle of the ring after hitting a backdrop into a kick to the back and the fans went nuts. Page and Vega tossed Cater to Corvis for a German suplex, but Marconi covered and attacked them as they celebrated in the middle of the ring. Everyone battled up top in different corners. The Crusade for Change ended up on the ground and they hit a triple frog splash for three near falls. The action spilled to the floor once again. Vega took out Vega with a flying knee off the apron. Both teams went back and forth and Page hit the twist of Page and everyone was down on the mat. Only had a corkscrew in his hand, but Vega nailed him with a missile dropkick. Vega got the corkscrew, but Corvis told him to stop and said, “This is mine.” Corvis and Only were left alone in the ring. The announcers said Only had caused Corvis to lose a ton of blood. The ref grabbed the corkscrew from Corvis and Only nailed him with a low blow. Carter got into the ring and hit a low blow followed by the Regal-plex for the win.

After the match, Crusade for Change wiped out Page and Vega and put their masks on Page, Vega, and Corvis. They then hit a piledriver, powerbomb, and a cradle piledriver at the same time and the fans booed. The fans chanted for Corvis once he finally recovered inside the ring.

Winners: Darius Carter & T.J. Marconi & Dany Only

Star rating: (***1/4) – This was a good brawl. They put together some nice sequences and the storytelling was good here as well with Corvis so close to getting revenge on Only, but the ref prevented him from getting it. Crusade for Change also got good heat for their post-match beat down on Corvis, Page, and Vega.

(7) Silver Ant vs. Anthony Stone. Timothy Thatcher was in on commentary for the match! The announcers talked about Stone coming off a blood feud against Nicholas Kaye. The action picked up quickly and Stone got the upper hand on Silver Ant after hitting a dropkick off the ropes. Silver Ant fired back and hit a pair of rolling kicks. The match continued at a high-octane pace and Silver Ant wiped out Stone with a big dive through the ropes. Stone fired back and hit an Arabian press to the floor and the fans fired up.

BW6.JPG
Silver Ant with a big slam on Stone.

Silver Ant caught Stone coming off the top and eventually slammed him to the mat before hitting a leg drop for a 2 count. The fans fired up with Silver Ant in control. Silver Ant got a choke, but Stone partially blocked it and eventually nailed him with several knees to the head. Silver Ant fired back quickly and hit a suplex for a 2 count. Silver Ant went for a double springboard, but Stone nailed him with a dropkick. Both men exchanged blows from their knees. Stone landed on his feet when Silver Ant went for a German and hit a double stomp and the fans gasped. Stone then went for a springboard, but Silver Ant nailed him with a kick to the back of the head. Stone went up top and hit a meteora, but Silver Ant rolled through and went for a Texas cloverleaf. Stone managed to counter him and got a pinning combination for the win.

The fans applauded after the match and both men shook hands. The fans chanted for Stone as he posed on the ropes. Mr. Touchdown tried to jump Stone, but Stone saw him. Stone ran at Mr. Touchdown, but he nailed him with a big spinebuster. Mr. Touchdown smiled at the fans after taunting Stone. Juicy Product ended up coming down to the ring to check on Stone.

Winner: Anthony Stone

Star rating: (***1/4) – This was all action from start to finish with both guys going back and forth. I would have liked to see more selling to give the fans a chance to get into the action. Overall, this was good and the post-match attack from Mr. Touchdown on show was a good way to set up something down the line.

The next match is an Ultimate Endurance match. The first fall stipulations were that anyone in the ring can tag anyone on the apron from another team into the match. The second fall is going to be contested under scramble rules. The third fall is going to be contested under Texas Tornado rules.

BW7.JPG
Milk Chocolate gets ready for the Ultimate Endurance match.

(8) Da Hoodz (Davey Cash & Kris Pyro) vs. Milk Chocolate (Brandon Watts & Randy Summers) vs. The Minute Men (Devin Blaze & Tommy Trainwreck) vs. EYFBO (Angel Ortiz & Mike Draztik) in an Ultimate Endurance match. The crowd was amped for this match prior to the opening bell. Pyro and Blaze jawed back and forth before going at it. This was all action during the early going with The Hoods going at it against the Minute Men. The Minute Men cleared the ring, but Ortiz came right into the ring to go at it against Trainwreck. Watson took a combination of maneuvers from EFBYO capped by a huge swanton from Draztik. Trainwreck ended up hitting a big dive to the floor to wipe out a pile of men. EFBYO then hit a crazy stereo dive to wiped out everyone on the floor. Pyro took a series of maneuvers from The Minute Men in the corner capped by a combination suplex and the action broke down. Milk Chocolate hit Black with a powerbomb into a back breaker to eliminate them.

BW8.JPG
Good god almighty!

The match is now being contested under scramble rules, but I’m guessing these three teams are going to do whatever they want. The action spilled to the floor with all three teams brawling through the crowd. EFBYO hit a biel off the stage sending Watson into a pile of men and the fans fired up and chanted “Beyond Wrestling.” Cash obliterated Draztik with a huge clothesline after a big sequence to eliminate EFBYO. This match has been nuts so far. It is now down to Milk Chocolate vs. Da Hoodz. Milk Chocalte went for the Eifel Tower on Cash, but Pyro broke it up. Pyro went for a springboard handstand, but Watson caught him and hit a German. The Hoodz fired back on Watson and nailed him with a ton of superkicks, but Summers broke up the pin. Milk Chocolate hit a series of moves on Cash in the corner and the fans fired up, but he kicked out at the last second. They then wiped out Pyro with a buckle bomb/knee to the head combination in the corner and the fans went nuts again. Watson went up top, but Pyro pushed him off and The Hoodz hit a wheelbarrow double stomp on Watson for the win.

The fans chanted for Juicy Product to square off with Da Hoodz after the match, but they didn’t come down to the ring.

Winners: Davey Cash & Chris Pyro

Star rating: (****) – There was too much action to call during the match, but this was great while it lasted. There were some incredible sequence during the match, including an insane beil from EFBYO off the stage on Watson that sent him flying into a pile of men. The crowd ate up the match as it went on and it built up to a really great final couple of minutes between Da Hoodz and Milk Chocolate.

(9) Mike Bennett vs. Kimber Lee. The match started with the fans chanting “F--- Mike Bennett.” Bennett ended up attacking Lee from behind, as she was looking for him to come out through the entranceway. Bennett dominated the action and choke Lee with his foot in the corner. Bennett got on the mic to ring the bell. Lee screamed for the ref to ring the bell. Bennett told Lee he would give her one chance to give up. Lee screamed, “F—k no” and slapped Bennett, but Bennett fired right back with a superkick. The announcers noted that Lee is the only defeated member of the Beyond Wrestling roster. The fans chanted for Lee, but Bennett nailed her with a big slam. Bennett went for a shoulder tackle in the corner, but Lee got out of the way and he crashed into the ring post. Bennett went for another charge in the corner, but Lee got out of the way and Bennett crotched himself. Lee charged at Bennett and ended up eating a big superkick. Bennett shoved Lee off the top a short time later and went for a senton off the top, but Lee got out of the way.

BW9.JPG
Things got crazy quick during the Lee vs. Bennett match.

Bennett ended up on the floor and Lee finally took him down after a fourth suicide dive. Lee followed up with a missile dropkick inside the ring as the fans fired up big time for a 2 count. Bennett finally fired back with a big clothesline and both were slow to get up. Bennett went for a spear and Lee nailed him with a spin kick. Lee then hit a swanton bomb for a near fall. The fans chanted “F—k Mike Bennett” again, but Bennett got the anaconda vice on Lee. Lee struggled, but managed to get to the ropes. Bennett went for a spear for the third time and finally connected. Bennett jawed with the crowd instead of making the cover. Bennett went for a piledriver, but Lee swept his legs out from under him and got a bridging pin for the win!

The fans went nuts after Lee won, but she turned around into a punch from Benentt. Bennett then nailed Lee with a piledriver. Bennett took Lee out to the apron for another piledriver, but Juicy Product made the save. Bennett through crotch chops from his back on the floor and Starr chased him to the back. The fans chanted for Lee as the ring announcer said she was still undefeated.

Winner: Kimber Lee

Star rating: (***3/4) – This was a fantastic match between Lee and Bennett. Bennett got a ton of heat and played into the crowd throughout the match, but Lee has been so impressive this year showing that she can go with top level male talent in the ring. The match told a really good story and the post-match did a good job of setting the stage for The Kingdom vs. Juicy Product & Kimber Lee at “Makin’ Moves” on Sept. 28.

BW10.JPG
Team Tremendous ready for battle against Doom Patrol in the main event.

(10) Team Tremendous (Bill Carr & Dan Barry) vs. Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson & Jaka). Carr told Dickinson he’s the filthy stud and did the sexy party dance, which made Dickinson very angry. Barry then talked about Dickinson’s grandma and he got even angrier. Dunkerton noted this was a pure Beyond Wrestling main event with no special stars in the match and four Beyond guys going at it. This is also a first time meeting between these two teams. Carr fired up on Dickinson and the fans fired up as well. Carr unbuttoned his shirt and showed some nipple and Dickinson sold disgust. Dickinson hit a dropkick and kipped up, but Carr stunned him by kipping up after taking the dropkick. Barry got the tag and hit a double missile dropkick on Doom Patrol. He hit a suplex on Jaka and then immediately wiped out Dickinson with a dive and the fans fired up. The action spilled to the floor and all four men went at it. Dickinson eventually hit an apron bomb on Carr and the fans fired up. Doom Patrol then isolated Carr inside the ring. Jaka used Carr’s tie to toss him around the ring and to apply extra pressure on an arm bar before Dickinson tagged into the match. Carr took a sustained beating from Doom Patrol. The fans fired up and tried to rally behind him, but Jaka nailed him with a series of blows. Carr finally blocked a punch and hit a sit out urangi and both men were down.

BW11.JPG
Bill Carr is an inspiration to big men across the world.

Carr finally made the hot tag and Barry and Dickinson went at it. Dickinson hit a sunset flip and eventually hit a dead lift powerbomb, but Barry countered him a short time later with a pump-handle T-bone suplex. Jaka went for a choke bomb after catching Barry by surprise, but he countered it into a DDT. Barry then nailed Doom Patrol with a big Asai moonsault and the fans fired up. Carr then hit a huge flip dive to the floor to wipe out Doom Patrol and the fans went insane. Carr & Barry hit a reverse Razor’s edge into a flatliner on Dickinson, but Jaka broke up the pin. Doom Patrol isolated Barry and nailed him with a falcon arrow and a big kick, but he kicked out at the last second. Dickinson and Jaka went for a burning hammer into a German/kick combination, but Barry countered it. Team Tremendous then hit case closed on Dickinson, but Jaka broke up the pin at the very last second. Holy crap! The fans fired up as the action continued at a rapid pace. Team Tremendous went for case closed on Jaka, but Jaka slipped out and Dickinson nailed Carr with a clothesline. Dickinson then hit a big power bomb and Jaka came off the top with a splash on Carr for the win.

Dickinson got on the mic and kicked Carr out of the ring. He said he didn’t care what fans thought of his tactics. Dickinson said Elgin beat him last month. Dickinson said he could admit he lost. He said it was far from over and he challenged Elgin and Cage to face him and Jaka. The fans went nuts for the announcement.

Winners: Chris Dickinson & Jaka

Star rating: (***3/4) – The match was a little slow in spots, but overall this was a really good main event. Both teams pulled off some fantastic back and forth sequences late in the match and built to several good near falls down the stretch before Doom Patrol won. Dickinson seemed to want to get booed, but ended up getting cheered in the end by cutting a face promo.

The ring announcer told the fans to go outside to find out what the big announcement was from Denver Colorado. The announcement ended up being that Beyond Wrestling now owns Championship Melt, but they didn’t show it on the raw footage.

Overall thoughts: (8.5) – This was a really strong card from Beyond Wrestling. Of course, there are some limitations from watching the Raw footage from the hard camera and a couple of times it was hard to hear one of the wrestlers doing commentary, but they fixed the commentary being low. The show opened with a fantastic Four-Way match that set the crowd on fire and never really let up with only one skippable match on the card.

Timothy Thatcher, who is making waves in EVOLVE, appeared on this card and had a really good technical wrestling match against Jonathan Gresham. Thatcher is someone that is going to be a big name on the independents soon and it was a blast watching him apply his craft in the ring.

The highlight of the show was the Ultimate Endurance match featuring Da Hoods vs. EFBYO vs. The Minute Men vs. Milk Chocolate. The match featured a ton of fantastic high-flying action that set the fans on fire. There was a great spot where EFBYO hit a double biel off the stage to the floor onto everyone that set the crowd on fire. This match is worth going out of your way to see.

Beyond Wrestling owner Drew Cordiero didn’t have the top names on the independents at his disposal for this event with PWG running BOLA the same weekend, but he did a great job of taking risks and telling some good stories that not only made this card stand out, but effectively built up several matches for “Makin’ Moves” on Sept. 28.

The biggest risk Cordiero took was having Michael Bennett ruin what was turning into a really good match between Juicy Product and The Throwbacks to set up a match between Kimber Lee and Michael Bennett later in the show. It was a big risk to take, but the Beyond Wrestling fans went with it and were really into the setup for the Lee-Bennett match.

The Lee-Bennett match was really good and with a little more time probably could have been excellent. Lee has developed leaps and bounds and it’s very hard for intergender matches to come across as credible, but Lee has pulled off two very memorable matches against Drew Gulak and Michael Bennett in Beyond Wrestling this year. The dynamic between Lee and Bennett worked out perfectly with Lee being over as a face and Bennett getting a ton of heat from the fans during the match. Although Lee won, Bennett beat her up after until Juicy Product made the save to set up the main event for “Makin’ Moves.”

The main event was very good between Team Tremendous and Doom Patrol. They paced the match well, although it dragged in a couple of spots. The action down the stretch was really good with the pace of the match bringing the fans up and down leading into the finish.

Overall, I would recommend going out of your way to see this show. It didn’t feature matches as good as some of the best matches at previous Fete shows, but it was their most consistent card and considering that all of the top independent talent was tied up with PWG for the weekend speaks volumes for the talent and storytelling on this show.
