Mick Foley once wrote my favorite wrestling book of all-time, "Have A Nice Day." Fast-Forward to present day and Mick Foley has become self-absorbed to the point of nausea with his multiple wrestling-related literary offerings.

"The Hardcore Diaries" showed the wheels were coming off, but "Countdown to Lockdown" confirms the cart has crashed and burned if you read the first 33 pages.

Here's a short list of things Foley is bitter about:

-Triple H doesn't appreciate Foley for making him into a main eventer.

-Vince McMahon cut off his big angle with John Morrison.

-By cutting off his big angle with John Morrison, Foley lost the chance to get the incredibly talented Melina over as well.

-Vince McMahon made a mistake trying to repackage Foley in 2007. After all, "The Hardcore Diaries" debuted at number six on the New York Times best seller list.

-"The Hardcore Diaries" debuting at number six is a success because there were too many wrestling books on the market for it to reach number one.

-Foley's editor couldn't believe McMahon wanted to repackage him. Telling Mick, "You don't connect with the fans? You're number six on the New York Times list!"

Each chapter of Foley's latest tome comes with a wrestling meter that is supposed to help wrestling fans skip around the book. I think a "Foley Is Full of Himself" meter is necessary, as I'd like to skip any more chapters where Foley talks about himself in a self-deprecating manner when it's blatantly obvious that he's anything but self-deprecating.
