Santa Greg has some gifts to give to those in wrestling during this Holiday season, for 2015 and beyond:

For Jim Ross: An opportunity to do some consistent, mainstream sports announcing.

For The Undertaker: A quiet ride into the sunset.

For Matt Hardy and Reby Sky: A healthy first child for the couple.

For C.M. Punk: A win in his first UFC fight.

For Dixie Carter: A pair of brass balls from the set of The Colbert Report, to make the tough and sometimes unpopular decisions needed to allow Impact Wrestling to break out as a viable second brand.

For Triple H: A chance to put his unvarnished stamp on Smackdown, so we can finally see for sure what his vision of WWE will be once Vince McMahon steps down. Seeing it in NXT is one thing, but he deserves to get a main roster show all to himself at this point.

For Lanny Poffo: WWE’s cooperation in putting his brother and the Poffo family into the WWE Hall-of-Fame.

For Sami Zayn: A promotion to the main roster and something meaningful to do there.

For Rusev: A date with John Cena at WrestleMania.

For Daniel Bryan: A return to health and an opportunity to regain his spot at or near the top of WWE.

For Lucha Underground: More viewers.

For Michael Cole: A vacation.

For "Nice Surprise" Tommy Dreamer: A new hobby.

For Dolph Ziggler: A serious push as a World Title contender.

For Roman Reigns: For the sake of the fans, and for him, a successful ascension to the top of WWE.

Other Thoughts: Monday’s Raw was a pretty innocent, Christmas-themed episode. However, it did strike me as odd that Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt, embroiled in a serious feud, would be booked in such a comedy garbage match…TNA got something from Destination America they wanted from Spike TV in negotiations: More programming opportunities. Of course, they really didn’t earn those opportunities from Spike so I can’t blame the network for not forking over more time. Because it’s not another first-run program, I doubt it will make TNA feel too over-exposed...

The number of PPV buys released by WWE for the Survivor Series is almost comical given that WWE was offering the show for free on the WWE Network. The fact that domestic buys were actually up from Hell in a Cell should be a real sign that the Network still isn’t clicking with a significant chunk of their viewership... I’m not surprised the Smackdown rating dipped in its living airing on the USA Network last week: Coming off three hours of Raw the previous night (and a three-hour PPV the night before), devoting two more hours to the WWE product the very next night is asking a lot of even the most ardent fan... The Lucha Underground 2014 finale stood out from the other shows the company has put on, and was a good hook for when the show returns in January. This will also be an interesting experiment, albeit in a smaller petri dish, of whether or not viewers will support a pro wrestling product that uses a more traditional episodic television format.
