PARKS'S TAKE
PARKS: Ten biggest moments from Monday's TNA and WWE shows

By Greg Parks, PWTorch columnist

Another week, another look at the biggest moments coming out of Monday night's head-to-head battle between TNA Impact and WWE Monday Night Raw.

1. Bret Hart reveals during contract signing that he faked his leg injury. This was the next expected twist in the Hart vs. McMahon angle, but many people wondered if it would take place before or at Wrestlemania. When the contract signing was announced, most surmised it would take place there. The camera work deserves mention here, for the way the hoax was revealed on Monday.

2. Steve Austin returns to WWE TV. Austin made his first appearance on a WWE program since last year's Wrestlemania. Granted, he didn't do a whole lot, but seeing him back on TV (and in great shape) was probably a highlight for a lot of fans. As was Austin not adhering to the PG formula, and letting out several expletives during his short time on camera.

3. Jeff Hardy pins A.J. Styles in the main event. It wasn't clean, but the TNA Champion was pinned in the go-home show for Destination X, where he'll defend his title against Abyss. Hardy's legal issues are still unresolved, as his trial was continued into May. TNA seems to be comfortable enough to use him in a high-profile role, at least for now.

4. Gorgeous George revealed as a 2010 WWE Hall-of-Famer. The vintage footage and interviews shown on Raw were really interesting. George is getting in because WWE is planning a movie on him, but he certainly has been an influential character in pro wrestling history. We don't often see WWE acknowledge wrestlers as far back as George's era, so that's a nice touch as well.

5. Eric Bischoff stops Hulk Hogan from attacking Sting. Little by little, we're seeing cracks in the relationship between Hogan and Bischoff. Whether this leads to two factions fighting for control of TNA remains to be seen. With Bischoff trying to convince Hogan that his in-ring time is past, it just opens things up for a groundswell of fan support for Hogan to return to the squared circle one more time.

6. Matt Morgan hints at a heel turn. Morgan did commentary during Hernandez's two-on-one match against Beer Money, and came off quite heelish. He wasn't happy with Hernandez approaching Jeff Jarrett about teaming up against Robert Roode and James Storm. Things could come to a head tonight at the PPV when they defend their tag titles.

7. Triple-Threat match with Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase announced for Wrestlemania. This match is so far down the card, and the interest is so down based on the booking of this feud, that the announcement of this match didn't exactly send shockwaves throughout the fanbase. Still, Orton is a big enough name, and the match-up is odd enough (since Rhodes and DiBiase haven't shown signs of dissension lately) to make the list.

8. Brother Runt returns to TNA. Runt returned to aid Team 3D against the Nasty Boys and Jimmy Hart. Yes, Team 3D needed a third person to counter the intimidating and impressive Jimmy Hart. Just another chapter in the Team 3D vs. Nasty Boys feud, that has to be coming to a head sooner rather than later.

9. Smackdown Divas interfere in Raw Divas match. This is only intriguing as it sets up a possible inter-brand Divas match for 'Mania. However, it wasn't really advanced on Smackdown this past week. Maybe they're saving things for the final Raw before the PPV. I don't know where they'd be going with this if they weren't setting up a Wrestlemania match.

10. Eric Bischoff gets his head shaved. We already saw this several years ago in WWE, which is why it barely cracked the top ten. It's on here almost as much for Mick Foley finally getting his comeuppance on Bischoff as it is for the actual action of the head being shaved.
