ROH PPV Evaluation - 13th Anniversary
By Nathan Kyght, PWTorch PPV specialist

BEST MATCH - THE YOUNG BUCKS VS. ReDRAGON

Excellent. These two teams have always worked well together, and this was certainly no exception. Just an awesome spectacle featuring two teams managing to make it look effortless. Seek this one out.

WORST MATCH - MOOSE VS. MARK BRISCOE

Nothing really wrong with it, but it was a glorified squash. Moose looks very good (his dropkick to the face of Briscoe who was sat on the turnbuckle was amazing), but this was the filler match on an otherwise very good show.

BIGGEST SURPRISE - NO TITLE CHANGE

I don`t think putting the belt on Michael Elgin would be the way to go at this point, but I did think the ROH Totle would change hands in the main event. ROH decided to keep Jay Briscoe`s unbeaten streak alive, and all signs point to Samoa Joe vs. Briscoe.

BIGGEST LETDOWN - NONE

This was a show that delivered exactly as advertised. ROH is in-ring heavy, and I thought that they pulled the night off well.

BEST MOVE - MICHAEL ELGIN

Elgin giving Jay Briscoe the Jaydriller hrough a table looked scary, but the crowd exploded. A highlight moment of an otherwise muddled main event match.

BEST MATCH FINISH - MATT SYDAL VS. CEDRIC ALEXANDER

An excellent opener was capped off with the always impressive Air Bourne. Sydal looked great, and should be moving up shortly. What was WWE thinking letting this guy go?

OTHER THOUGHTS

- Maria and ODB had a fun match. It was not exceptional, but as the "sports entertainment" segment of the night, it was very entertaining.

- Samoa Joe is awesome, but he should not dress like he's homeless.

- The main event really felt over-booked. Simplicity is always the way to go.

WHAT IT’LL BE REMEMBERED FOR

Historically, this was not a show with anything that will be significant. But, from start to finish, it was entertaining, and the tag match was superb.
