EVOLVE 25 iPPV Results
January 10, 2014
Ybor City, Fla.
Report by Sean Radican, PWTorch columnist

From Sean's live Twitter coverage @SeanRadican...

(1) FIP champion Trent Baretta beat Anthony Nese to retain the FIP Title. Baretta won with a roll-up in a heck of an opener. Great back and forth match.

(2) Uhaa Nation won a six-man Fray! to become #1 contender to the DGUSA Title. Uhaa will face DGUSA champion Johnny Gargano on Sunday. Overall, good match. The crowd really wanted to see Uhaa vs. Jon Davis.

(3) Ricochet beat Chris Hero. Really good match early that turned into an amazing match. Ricochet won after a springboard 450, a Shooting Star Press, and a 630 splash. (****1/4)

Afterward, Ricochet said he wants to cash in his DGUSA Title shot at WrestleMania Weekend in New Orleans. Hero said he's been in the ring with big names like Punk, Joe, and Daniels, but Ricochet is the best athlete he's ever been in the ring with. Hero said if Ricochet can wrestle as good as he did tonight against Gargano, he will beat him.

Hero went on to endorse the roster, but did not mention Trent Baretta, who interrupted. Baretta told Hero that he lost tonight, but he will beat Ricochet tomorrow night.

(4) Young Bucks & Rich Swann beat DGUSA champion Johnny Gargano & DGUSA tag champions Bravado Brothers in a six-man tag match. Young Bucks and Swann won after hitting More Bang For Your Buck on Harlem. Amazing stuff here. (****)

Afterward, the Young Bucks said they're the best team on the planet and their loss to Bravados was a fluke. Matt said they're rock stars, then a brawl broke out after Gargano jumped Swann. Gargano then tried to bail, but #1 contender Uhaa tossed him into Roderick Strong, who lit him up with chops. Strong said he wants a title shot at the DGUSA show on February 23.

(5) Evolve champion A.R. Fox beat Davey Richards to retain the EVOLVE Title. Fox won a heck of a hard-hitting back and forth contest to retain. Crazy sequence at the end. (****)

Afterward, Richards says the entire roster can kiss his ass. Richards says he's better than everyone and bails.

Overall, Heck of a show. Great HD iPPV delivery, three killer matches, and everything delivered. Replay-worthy at WWNLive.com. This is what Evolve should be about. Definitely in the 8.5-9.0 range.
