Ongoing thoughts
-Rhino vs. Smothers was just another vehicle to develop the ongoing storyline between Bull Pain, and Isabella Smothers. Kongo Kong attacked Rhino before the match and Rhino fended off interference during the match. I’d love to see a straight of singles match between Kongo and Rhino.
-Mad Man Pondo & Necro Butcher vs. Sabu & Raven turned into Pondo & Necro vs. Sabu & Douglas when Raven just left ringside. The finish came off flat with Necro giving Sabu multiple headbutts. After the match, Douglas also turned on Sabu. Sabu then came around and brutally attacked Charlie Brown, as he put him through a table and then went after him with a spike.
I thought there was way too much going on here for the angle to be totally effective.
-KG addressed the fans and announced Rhino vs. Kongo Kong for “BloodyMania” at Gathering of the Juggalos. My wish has been granted.
-JCW is launching a female wrestling division, but are they going to show some respect to these women? They’ve already critiqued the looks of O’Neal and Force. They should put the focus on the talent of the women in the ring. It’s not like Force and O’Neal are hurting.
The match itself was good while it lasted between O’Neal and Force. After Douglas and Raven turned on Sabu in the previous match, Randy’s turn on Force in the very next match didn’t come off as well as it could have had it gone down later in the card. The crowd reacted well to the post-match brawl between Randy and Force.
-Truth Martini came out with Breyer Wellington. Kongo Kong was introduced as Wellington’s partner. Truth then addressed the need for a new butler. Truth said the new butler would bathe Wellington and shine his shoes. Truth introduced Mrs. Jeeves as the new butler. Jeeves came out and addressed Martini and his wife. I laughed hard when Mrs. Jeeves was introduced. Mrs. Jeeves said she needed the money. She then said Wellington had a much bigger set.
Kong & Wellington vs. The Calhoun Bros. wasn’t much, but the Calhoun Bros. bumped well for Kong, who looks like a monster. After the match, Rhino took out the HOT with a huge gore and the crowd went nuts. That was awesome.
-KG announced a Three Way match for next week with Brittany Force vs. Amber O’Neal vs. Randy the Ring Girl. He also announced a contract signing for Kongo Kong vs. Rhino. I like that they’re building Kong vs. Rhino as a big deal.
-They went backstage and showed Pain & Smothers brawling with Necro & Pondo. Is this the first ever backstage segment in iPPV history?
-Colt Cabana as Officer Colt Cabana with his Marshall Adam Pearce is hilarious. Of course, they came out bullying Weedman.
-Next up is 2 Tough Tony vs. Marshall Adam Pearce (w/Officer Colt Cabana & Weed Man). Tony dominated the action early. Weed Man sneaked some weed on the outside. Pearce took control of the match and raked his eyes. Good back and forth action between both men during the middle portion of the match. Pearce and Tony exchanged blows in the middle of the ring, but Pearce caught Tony with a suplex. Weed Man told Pearce the arrested Juggalo was getting away. Violent JJ got in the ring, but Pearce kicked him low. Pearce went for a powerbomb, but J.J. turned it into a hurricanrana. J.J. then nailed him with the double knees off the second turnbuckle. J.J. went up top and hit another double knee drop. Violent J.J. is Violent J’s son. Tony then hit the meteorite for the win. This was awesome at the end when J.J. hit the hurricanrana. He can’t be older than ten years old.
-KG reset things and introduced Prozac for the musical performance of the evening.
-JCW Tag Team Champions the Ring Rydas vs. U-Gene & Zach Gowen. Red got the heat on Gowen. Blue tagged in and nailed Gowen with a top rope dropkick. Gowen fired back with a DDT on Red. U-Gene got the hot tag and ran wild on Blue. Red ran in and cut off a double team attempt on Blue. Red missed a dive to the outside on U-Gene. Gowen then took out Red with a twisting splash. U-Gene then nailed Blue with a pair of brass knuckles for the pin.
I was surprised to see U-Gene cheat to win in that manner. Gowen told U-Gene he was wrong to do what he did after the match. Gowen then told U-Gene to give the belts back to the Ring Rydas. U-Gene ended up shoving the ref after the match. Gowen yelled at U-Gene, so U-Gene turned on him and went to work on his leg.
-Violent J came out prior to the main event. J said he had a couple of announcements. He said “Bloodymania” would be available on iPPV for five bucks. J said the contracts would be signed next week for Gowen vs. U-Gene. J then said they were going to screw the police. J said Pearce will not be allowed at ringside. He said nobody would be allowed at ringside for Cabana vs. Corp. Robinson. J said there would be no interference in the match.
-JCW Champion Officer Colt Cabana vs. Corp. Robinson. Cabana came out with the title in the evidence bag. That’s awesome. Corp ran wild on Cabana during the early going. Cabana bailed to the outside and got heckled. Someone in the crowd threw a full garbage can at Cabana. He ended up using it on Robinson. The crowd chanted “family” while Cabana worked over Robinson. Corp fired back with a series of punches and took Cabana down with a clothesline. Robinson followed up with a knee to the head in the corner. He followed up with a neckbreaker, but only got a 2 count.
Cabana fired back and hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a 2 count. Cabana pounded on Robinson in the corner, but Robinson got his boot up when Cabana went for a charge in the corner. Robinson hit the boot camp, but Cabana kicked out. The announcers couldn’t believe Cabana kicked out. Cabana fired back and hit Corp with his own finish, but Corp kicked out. Corp had the match won, but the ref was down. Corp hit sweet chin music A fan got in the ring, but it ended up being Rob Conway. Conway hit a big sling-shot suplex on Corp. He then put Cabana on top of Robinson, but he kicked out at the last second.
Conway beat up the ref and Cabana was mad. Violent J ran down and went to work on Conway. J took Conway backstage. Back inside the ring, Cabana went to hit Corp with his flashlight, but Corp blocked it with his nightstick. Corp then nailed Cabana with the nightstick for the win.
-The lights went out after the match and Vampiro took out Robinson with a kick. Vampiro then held the title while standing over Robinson.
Overall thoughts: This show had some down moments, but overall they did a good job building up “Bloodymania” at GOTJ. A solid "thumbs-up" effort tonight from JCW. The wrestling was much better than usual.
