Earlier today I published a Keller's Take suggesting C.M. Punk and Paul Heyman add wrestlers to their alliance and create a faction to elevate some wrestlers. I asked for ideas and feedback. Here's the first batch...

===

PWTorch reader Bryan Burke of Bradley, Ill. suggests:

I know it's been tossed around before, but I still think its a good idea. Bringing up former ROH guys like Chris Hero/Ohno and Tyler Black/Seth Rollins. It would help give those guys instant credibility. I'd also like to see Claudio Castignoli/Antonio Cesaro to be involved as well. As you mentioned, Wade, there is no Brock Lesnar/Hunter/Chris Jericho around at the moment, and with the NFL season starting tonight, WWE needs to give something fresh to its audience to keep their attention. Even more so with the added crutch of going three hours.

People like Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes, and other just-under-the-glass-ceiling heels do not need Punk/Heyman.

WK: I agree the best route may be with bringing in developmental talent who are unknown to the vast majority of WWE viewers.

===

PWTorch reader Joe Feeney suggests:

Damien Sandow. Cody Rhodes. Claudio. Seth Rollins.

===

PWTorch reader Mike Curry suggests:

The one name that jumps out to me as being a perfect fit with Heyman & Punk is Bully Ray if he makes the jump. The back story is obviously there. If Devon is part of a package deal, reunite the Dudleys and allow Heyman to legitimize the tag team division again.

WK: I think Bully Ray's work in TNA has been so tremendous the last year, it would be a shame if returned to WWE as a Dudley Boy in a tag team with Devon. I like the idea of him being the muscle next to Punk, perhaps a gatekeeper to shots at Punk or a U.S. Title level heel. Eventually he could break off and feud as a babyface with Punk.

===

Neil of Oxfordshire, U.K. suggests:

Wade, I have long hoped that Ric Flair would return to the WWE and headhunt wrestlers for a new Horseman type stable. However, with Heyman and Punk seemingly working together I would love them to take the role I hoped Flair would fill and take some under utilized wrestlers and "take over," so to speak. First off should be Dolph Ziggler so that Punk could coach him towards winning the title off Sheamus. I think holding both titles would solidify the group right away. Long term Punk could push how Ziggler is no. 2 in the pecking order and cause an issue and a barn stormer of a match between these two with Ziggler turning face. It would also play into the issues between Punk and Sheamus from Raw.

I would flesh out the group by adding the Miz who really needs something to do right now or Antonio Cesaro for more gold for the group and eye candy in Aksana.

Finally, I would take two wrestlers on losing streaks, Jack Swagger and Tensai, and get them together as a team under Heyman/Punk. They could be an ideal heel team to dominate the tag division and be muscle for the group. Both could do with a bit of something to help them at the moment. I think holding a lot if not all of the gold would make this group something to be reckoned with. A team of faces could fight them in a cage match or a normal elimination match at Survivor Series. The ace in the hole could be a returning Brock Lesnar when required.

Just my thoughts. I certainly could do with some excitement in wrestling at the moment as I spend the three hours on fast-forward pretty much. I think they have definitely jumped the shark with Santino.

WK: I could see Dolph Ziggler breaking away from Vickie Guerrero and being elevated by being with Heyman and Punk, leading to a Ziggler babyface turn and a subsequent feud with Punk a year or so from now. Maybe Jack Swagger would make sense, because he is the type of "project" that Heyman might like to work with since there's a big upside there, and he might be a good protege for Lesnar. It was set up on Raw if they wanted to do that. To me, Miz doesn't seem like a good fit with Heyman and Punk.
