WWE has created a big buzz over tonight's Big Reveal of who is behind the 1-2-2012 mystery videos. There are Facebook pics out there of Undertaker showing up at the Nashville airport and Chris Jericho being spotted arriving at the arena. Most are likely false, but it goes to show the extent of interest in this situation that people are trying to break the news first, even if they're doing it by making it up.

The most intriguing reveal would be Brock Lesnar. Jim Ross has said he wouldn't rule out Brock Lesnar back in WWE... in time for WrestleMania 29. Dana White has said he never tries to talk any fighter out of retiring (sometimes he tries to talk some fighters into retiring, though), and he always does right by his guys, even when they're under contract. In other words, if Lesnar wants to go to WWE and make a big payday, he would try to help make it happen.

What about a mega-reveal of a new Paul Heyman led faction consisting of Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho, Batista, Bill Goldberg, and Bobby Lashley funded by Shane McMahon?

I wouldn't put it past Vince McMahon to try to pull off something huge to get ratings out of the sub-3.0 range and boost the overall brand headed into the WWE Network launch. If he were going to ever "pull out all the stops" and spend some money and try to make something big happen, I could see now being the time.

That said, the above faction scenario - in that form - is astrononically unlikely for a variety of reasons. But could Heyman and Lesnar show up? Unlikely, given the signals, but possible. Or a faction of Jericho, Batista, and Goldberg? Again, unlikely, but possible.

The only simple answers that seem to make sense are Jericho or Undertaker.

Let's keep in mind WWE played some mysterious videos. That's all. It's possible the reveal isn't that big of a deal, and WWE Is now bracing for a letdown after the fans went crazy with speculation. Expectations are high tonight for something very special and memorable.

If Jericho shows up, what's his goal? He will need to lay out his agenda. Will it be regaining the World Title or WWE Title? Or eliminating a certain wrestler (C.M. Punk?). Jericho said he if he returns to WWE, he wants to be cast in a different way than before. So look for a remade version of Jericho with all of the pomp and circumstance normally associated with his big returns.

If it's Undertaker, it'll likely be a more traditional reveal. His big ring entrance, and then a promo declaring intent to gain revenge on Triple H.

Ideally, tonight's reveal will help ratings going forward on Raw and also the Royal Rumble, and not be a one-off angle that doesn't really resurface until March when WrestleMania hype kicks into full gear.

Tonight's show, one way or another, should accomplish building anticipation for next week's Raw and also the Royal Rumble coming up later this month. Whether that involves the mystery video reveal or not, I don't know, but there will likely be more people watching tonight's show than have since The Rock's appearance around Survivor Series. WWE needs to take advantage of that, not just with the mystery video reveal, but also by showcasing other strengths on the program including the emergence of Dolph Ziggler as a top heel challenging C.M. Punk tonight.

The biggest news in tonight's Raw might not be the mystery reveal, but perhaps Ziggler becoming WWE Champion. Feel free to leave your thoughts in our comment area below if you're reading this on our website.
