WWE has a very interesting WWE Title picture on their hands at the moment. Following Daniel Bryan's injury, the clear-cut path to Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar at Summerslam was thrown off, setting in motion a chain of events that included The Shield breaking up, John Cena becoming WWE World Hvt. champion again, and the fast-tracked rise of Roman Reigns.

Now, WWE approaches Battleground and Summerslam with a few options: keep the title on Cena, put the title on Brock Lesnar, go back to Randy Orton, or move way too fast on Roman Reigns as champion.

There is another option: Seth Rollins cashing in MITB on John Cena after Cena retains the title at Battleground. Here's how the puzzle pieces fit together...

- John Cena retains the WWE Title in the Battleground main event. Orton as champ is blase, Kane is merely an enforcer, and it's way too soon for Reigns. Reigns's first major title victory needs to be at WrestleMania 31 after building his singles career post-Shield and winning the Royal Rumble.

- Seth Rollins, having lost to red-hot babyface star Dean Ambrose earlier in the Battleground PPV, cashes in MITB on Cena to become WWE champion. How does the cash-in happen? Ambrose is incapacitated after beating Rollins and Cena is incapacitated after retaining the WWE Title.

Who incapacitates Cena? An obvious choice would be Triple H, who then brings in Brock Lesnar to face Cena at Summerslam. If Lesnar is available to use one of his dates at Battleground, then the easy bridge to Summerslam is Lesnar does the incapacitation himself and is revealed as Hunter's "Plan B" to get the title off Cena at Battleground.

- Heading into Summerslam, it's now Cena vs. Lesnar one-on-one without the WWE Title in the mix, but in still a big-enough match for Lesnar's first match since beating The Streak at WrestleMania. Also, this would fit with Cena's upcoming movie schedule, allowing him to miss TV and house shows to match Lesnar's infrequent schedule.

It would also allow Lesnar to beat Cena - since Brock has to win his first match since beating The Undertaker and to get his win back over Cena from Extreme Rules 2012 - without having to win the WWE Title. Lesnar as WWE champion would be a big logistical headache for WWE, unless Lesnar were to work out a more regular schedule.

- The co-main event of Summerslam is now Rollins vs. Ambrose for the WWE Title based on Ambrose beating Rollins earlier in the night at Battleground. This is arguably the top feud in pro wrestling at the moment, Ambrose is on the verge of breaking out in a huge way as a singles babyface star, and adding the WWE Title to the mix would ignite the feud even more.

- Coming out of Summerslam, Cena would be entitled to his title re-match, setting up a Night of Champions main event of Rollins vs. Cena for the WWE Title. This would feel very similar to how Daniel Bryan was booked as the top babyface star chasing the title against The Authority's hand-picked heel champion throughout the fall season.

All of this is centered on WWE needing a hot product during Summerslam Season when the first six-month Network subscription period comes up. The puzzle pieces coming together in this fashion accomplishes the goal with the right timing and execution.
