If you see fans looking down at their phones during tonight's Survivor Series PPV in Boston, it likely won't be to tweet about the events (although, there will be some of that), but to check the score of one of the biggest NFL games of the year between the hometown New England Patriots and Denver Broncos.

It's Tom Brady vs. Peyton Manning all over again, and the game is in New England, which means good seats are still available for Survivor Series.

Yes, they really are. As of this afternoon, second row tickets were available. And, tickets were going for as low as $16 on ticket re-seller Stubhub (well below face-value for a WWE PPV), as folks looked to unload tickets either to attend the Pats-Broncos game or watch the game at home. (Thanks to PWTorch reader Nick for that data.)

Part of the issue is WWE has failed to put together a compelling Survivor Series line-up. Sure, hometown star John Cena is defending the World Title, but (a) Cena gets a mixed reaction at home anyways, (b) his opponent is a B-Plus, at best, villain Alberto Del Rio. There's not much to get excited about there.

Then, the WWE Title match has Triple H's bag-handler, Randy Orton, defending the WWE Title against the World's Largest Blackmailer/future Gas Station Attendant. The Gas Station Attendant gimmick might have worked in 1990s WWF when the original Boston Garden was still around, but there isn't much to get excited about there.

And, it's the first PPV after the People's Choice QB, Daniel Bryan, was kicked out of the WWE Title picture - benched in favor of the old guard represented by Big Show.

WWE tried to create a "suitable follow-up" by forming the "dream team" of Bryan and C.M. Punk to face the Wyatts, but it's like putting your favorite QB in the Pro Bowl as a consolation prize for missing the Playoffs. Sure, there will be lots of offense and not much defense, but the game doesn't matter.

So, the question is what's the bigger mistake - WWE scheduling Survivor Series in Boston the same Sunday as Brady vs. Manning in New England or the card that WWE put together for Survivor Series?

This one is too close to call right now. We'll have to see if WWE can exceed low expectations, but PWTorch readers are not optimistic.

Right now, 38 percent of Torch readers are predicting a PPV in the range of a 3-4 (out of 10) score, 27 percent are going Thumbs Up in the Middle, and only 18 percent believe it will be a Thumbs Up show.

We'll have live coverage here at PWTorch.com tonight, plus the post-game show (for the wrestling) with Greg Parks at 11:30 EST on PWTorchLivecast.com, and follow PWTorch contributor Ben Tucker live-tweeting at Survivor Series @BTuckerTorch.
