1–2–3 KID RETURNS

This past weekend in Philadelphia, Sean Waltman, known the last 15 years as Syxx–Pac and X–Pac, wrestled as 1–2–3 Kid for the first time since he first left the WWF more than 15 years ago. The highlight of the weekend was an 18 minute match against El Generico.

Waltman tells PWTorch it's the greatest match of his career. He said the match took so much out of him, he needed a wheelchair at the airport the next day. When he got backstage after his match, the locker room assembled and gave him a standing ovation.

He got to meet friends he hadn't seen in more than a decade from his Japan touring days including Great Sasuke and former WWE wrestler Hakushi. He saw Dick Togo, his first–ever match in Japan. He also saw his chin for the first time in 15 years. He shaved for the event. He filmed a video diary including his shaving his beard. He gave his roommate Colt Cabana his 1–2–3 Kid gear.

Perhaps the greatest Japanese woman wrestler ever, Manami Toyota, also wrestled on that show on Sunday night.

GREG VALENTINE DVD

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, one of the territories biggest wrestling stars of the 1970s and early 1980s as well as a big part of the WWF national expansion phase, is the guest on the latest DVD release from Kayfabe Commentaries.

The popular "Timeline: The History of WWE" series, returns with Valentine on the hot seat as Valentine and Kayfabe Commentaries dives into the volatile year of 1985.

A press release from Kayfabe Commentaries indicates "Greg was just kinda along for the ride as the cartoon began to evolve around him. As dolls, cartoons (real one, not figurative), Cyndi Lauper, Mr T, and anything else you could imagine began showing up in the 'serious' world of grappling, Greg's royalty checks covered his mouth prior to any objections slipping out. Literally, on one occasion, as he went into Vince's office to complain and was met by a check for high 5–figures."

Production company Kayfabe Commentaries is responsible for the breakthrough series that chronicles the history of the world's biggest wrestling organization, told year–by–year over many DVD volumes. This week marks the release of the year 1985 in that chronicle and takes fans back to the year that saw the birth of WrestleMania, the debut of Saturday Night's Main Event, The Wrestling Album, and the invasion of rock and roll.

LEGENDS OF THE RING

The 12th annual Legends of the Ring will be held May 7 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Monroe, New Jersey. Former WWF superstar, MVP has recently been added to the lineup which features advertised wrestlers for the "Superticket" lineup Jim Ross, Dusty Rhodes, Ken Shamrock, Vader, Dan Severn, Dallas Page, Henry and Phinneus Godwinn, Terry Taylor, Mike Tenay, Brad Armstrong, Bob Armstrong, Bill Eadie as the Masked Superstar, Barry Darsow as Krusher Kruschev and more.
