TV Wrestling Viewership Break Down
Week of August 10

- WWE was up to 94 percent of the total wrestling TV market share, growing from 93 percent last week, mainly due to shrinking TNA Impact numbers.

Overall, it was a down week for live viewing and for DVR viewing.

The seasonal peak was 9.065 million live + DVR viewers the Week of July 20. The audience is now in the 8.3 million range.

WWE Raw & Smackdown & Tough Enough, TNA Impact & ROH TV

- Total Live TV Wrestling Viewership: 7.423 million viewers, down slightly from 7.482 million viewers last week, continuing a four-week downward trend.

- Total DVR Added Viewership: 8.343 million viewers, down from 8.510 million viewers last week. The numbers are also on a four-week downward trend.

- Monday, August 10: WWE Raw's three individual hours averaged 3.837 million viewers live + same day, up from 3.701 million the previous week.

However, DVR viewing only added 9.9 percent compared to 13.7 percent last week. The result was an almost identical total audience...

8:00 p.m.: 3.791 million live viewers, 4.103 million with DVR (+8.2%)
9:00 p.m.: 3.947 million live viewers, 4.336 million with DVR (+9.9%)
10:00 p.m.: 3.775 million live viewers, 4.215 million with DVR (+11.7%)

-SHOW AVG.: 3.837 million viewers live, 4.218 million with DVR (+9.9%)
-LAST WEEK: 3.701 million viewers live, 4.207 million with DVR (+13.7%)

Overall, the August 10 Raw grabbed 51 percent of the total TV wrestling audience, up from 49 percent last week, mainly due to downturns for Smackdown and Impact.

- Tuesday, August 11: Tough Enough Week 8 drew 1.025 million viewers with John Cena returning to TV, up from a season-low 856,000 first-run viewers.

DVR viewing provided a 20 percent bump to bring the total audience to 1.233 million viewers, up from 1.051 last week. The episode did reach the recent high of 1.391 million total viewers on July 21.

- Wednesday, Aug. 12: Ring of Honor's only airing at 11:00 p.m. EST drew 148,000 viewers, essentially even with 151,000 viewers last week. ROH did not place in the weekly cable TV rankings, therefore DVR viewing was not accounted for.

- Wednesday, Aug. 12: TNA Impact drew 270,000 first-run viewers at 9:00 p.m. EST, down from 327,000 last week.

Impact added 67,000 DVR viewers and the midnight replay after ROH TV drew 60,000 viewers.

Therefore, TNA's total audience was 397,000 viewers, down from 419k last week and 463k two weeks ago when ROH was first bumped out of the prime-time lead-in spot.

- Thursday, Aug. 13: WWE Smackdown drew a year-low 2.083 million first-run viewers on Syfy, down from 2.405 million last week.

DVR viewing added 12 percent to bring total viewership to 2.347 million. This was down more than 300,000 viewers from 2.682 million total viewers last week.
