WWE Raw TV taping
July 27, 2015
Oklahoma City, Okla.
Report by PWTorch correspondent Mike

- After Raw went off the air, nothing happened extra from Raw. John Cena waved to the crowd and held his nose a bit to see if it was bleeding, then waved some more. I think he was a bit dazed as he stood on the turnbuckles with the U.S. Championship. I'm betting if he did not get his nose busted up, they may have done something after Raw.

- Lots of people were waiting on Roman Reigns the entire night and were pretty disappointed that neither he, nor Ziggler showed up. This was especially the case for Reigns during Bray Wyatt's promo, which seemed very LONG in person.

- Before the show, the lines for merchandise were very long. "Suplex City" t-shirts were the obvious winner of the night, but a surprising amount of Dean Ambrose merch went as well. I saw virtually zero of the new Undertaker shirts. I also didn’t know about the wweshopexpress.com situation where you can “Pre-Buy” your merch and have it waiting for you. That line was non-existent and I’ll definitely be using that next time. Personally, I stepped out during the Big Show-Dean Ambrose opening match there was no line.

- Raw started on-time, but without the pyro. In fact, there wasn’t much pyro at all throughout the night. No intro pyro, no Big Show pyro. It was a bit strange.

- Off the air, the only real “action” was Summer Rae and Rusev over-selling the fish spot. Not sure if it showed up on TV, but Rusev’s fastball with the fish aimed at Lana caused it to splatter a bit on the ramp.

Also of interest was that it looked like right before the Cena-Rollins main event, the crew pulled an extra layer off the ring mat, giving those two a fresh -- pardon the pun -- canvas to work with. There wasn’t any blood or anything, but it might have been sweaty at that point.

- A good show overall. I bought tickets on Sunday and wound up in a pretty good spot. Chesapeake Arena is a little bland for wrestling, as you don’t see as many “hardcore” fans and there are a ton of kids and families, but, hey, it’s live TV wrestling, why not go see it?

- The hard camera upper deck was closed off and by the time Raw went live, the arena was about 80-85 percent full overall.

- No return date was announced. Lilian Garcia signed off with: "Looking forward to seeing you soon."

- Biggest Pops: Definitely Cena. Couldn’t even hear the "John Cena Suuuuuucks" during his intro music.

- Biggest Heat: For some reason people didn’t like Rusev at first, but it’s a tie between Rusev and Seth Rollins.
