WWE NEWS: Seth Rollins on NBC's "Today Show" - talks MITB cash-in, WrestleMania, more in wrestling segment

The morning after winning the WWE World Title at WrestleMania 31 in California, Seth Rollins appeared on NBC's "Today Show" from New York City.

Rollins noted on Twitter late Sunday night that he was flown across the country in a private jet to appear on NBC's morning show.

PWTorch reader Drew Koscelek was live at the "Today Show" for the taping and recapped Rollins's segment below, courtesy Ring-Rap.com:

- Rollins's interview took place during a segment titled “In the Ring with Al, Willie, and Tamron," which included a makeshift ring podium and WrestleMania 31 footage from WWE Network.

- Rollins mostly stayed in character, saying the belt is “the real deal” and he is “the real WWE Champion.”

- Seth talked about being Mr. Money in the Bank for nine months, and cashed in at the most opportune time while on “the grandest stage of them all.”

He touted the attendance figures for the show and plugged it being the home of the San Francisco 49ers. When asked if he’s supposed to cash in MITB fairly, Seth heeled it up, and asked if Willie was challenging him. He said he cashed in fair and square, inserted himself into the main event, and beat Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

- Willie talked about being in attendance at Hulk Hogan Night at Madison Square Garden and how he learned a few moves. Seth then plugged WWE Raw tonight on the West Coast.

- They discussed entrances being a big part of the show. Seth said he brought something special for them. He cued up a clip of Willie’s head on Hulk Hogan’s body, Al Roker’s head on The Rock’s body, and Tamron’s head on Naomi’s body.

- Rollins corrected them that he is the “former” Mr. Money in the Bank and the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Al Roker then tripped trying to get out of the ring through the makeshift ropes as he headed to the weather board for his weather segment.

- Overall, a very short segment, but Rollins carried himself quite well. He promoted the brand and touted the corporate numbers while hyping his win and WrestleMania.
