WWE Raw TV news & notes 3/16

-- Sting made a surprise appearance in the final segment of Raw helping Randy Orton fight off The Authority. This followed Seth Rollins revealing that dissension within The Authority was a ploy to try to lure in Orton for a beating.

Raw went off the air with Sting getting in his signature moves and pointing down at Triple H with his baseball bat in a similar scene from WCW Nitro. After Raw went off the air, Sting briefly spoke about his WrestleMania match against Hunter on WWE Network.

-- WWE is advertising World Hvt. champion Brock Lesnar for a face-to-face confrontation with Roman Reigns on next week's final Raw before WrestleMania 31.

Lesnar did not appear on this week's Raw. Instead, Reigns confronted Paul Heyman after Heyman delivered one of his trademark speeches hyping Lesnar as unstoppable.

WWE also aired a first-person sit-down interview with Lesnar, who continued teasing the idea of leaving WWE with the WWE World Title after WrestleMania 31. This is WWE's way of trying to plant seeds in viewers's minds that Reigns winning the title is not as clear-cut as it seems.

-- U.S. champion Rusev and John Cena had a contract signing for their U.S. Title match at WM31. Lana, who is filming a WWE Studios movie, was replaced by a fake legal representative trying to get Rusev out of the title match. Rusev eventually signed the contract for the title match.

-- Months of tension between The Miz and Damien Sandow led to Miz turning on Sandow. After Miz lost again to Ryback, Sandow offered to help up Miz, but Miz dropped Sandow with a Skullcrushing Finale, ending their partnership. Both are in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania.

-- Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler, who were penciled in for a singles match at WM31 following the Royal Rumble, continued to tease tension carrying over from Smackdown. Bryan and Ziggler are being positioned as the two favorites to win the IC Title ladder match at WrestleMania.

-- WWE aired a series of mysterious vignettes titled "WhoisMrRobot.com." Three vignettes ran in and out of commercials during the show. One vignette focused on the back of a man's head as he traveled through dark alleys on a mission.

-- WWE continued to run vignettes advertising Sheamus's return, but no return date was offered.

-- Bray Wyatt delivered another promo on The Undertaker leading into their Mania match.

-- During Raw, Michael Cole relayed an injury update that it's "not looking good" for Jey Uso making WrestleMania following a reported shoulder injury last week on Smackdown. The Usos were expected to be part of a Tag Title scenario at WM31.

-- Advertised for Thursday's Smackdown: WWE tag champs Tyson Kidd & Cesaro & Natalya vs. Los Matadores & El Torito in a six-person tag match.
