WWE Raw TV news & notes 12/22

-- Hulk Hogan, dressed as Santa Claus, appeared in the opening segment as guest-host of the show. Hogan interacted with John Cena in the ring and Seth Rollins on the stage (setting up a confrontation on this week's Smackdown). Hogan then announced Cena vs. Rollins in a re-match from TLC last Sunday and Raw last week. Cena won after shaking off interference from J&J Security. Hogan did not appear the rest of the show.

-- Bray Wyatt beat Dean Ambrose in another weapons-based brawl, this time a Miracle on 34th Street Fight. The match was positioned in the main event. Afterward, Dean put Bray through a table to get his music playing out to close Raw.

-- Dolph Ziggler retained the Intercontinental Title over Luke Harper in a re-match from the TLC PPV.

-- Roman Reigns beat Big Show via count-out in a singles match that was treated as the fourth-most-important match of the show behind the above three.

-- Roddy Piper returned to Raw TV for a Piper's Pit segment with U.S. champion Rusev and Lana. Ryback was brought out to brawl with Rusev to continue their new feud.

-- WWE World Hvt. champion Brock Lesnar did not appear on Raw in his home market of Minneapolis. WWE went for a light, house show-style holiday show without any new angles, which kept Lesnar off the show. Paul Heyman did not appear on the show, either.

-- There were no specific developments for the Royal Rumble PPV next month.

-- WWE announced Edge & Christian as the guest-hosts of next week's Raw.

-- Also announced for next week is the debut of NXT tag team The Ascension (Konnor & Victor).

-- Announced for Tuesday's Main Event on WWE Network: Big E. vs. Goldust.

-- Announced for Smackdown: Hulk Hogan guest-hosting.
