-- ROCK VS. BARACK: The Washington Post published a review of "The Rock" Dwayne Johnson hosting the annual "Christmas in Washington" special taped Sunday to air Friday on TNT. Included was Johnson having a playful face-to-face with President Obama, who Johnson parodied on Saturday Night Live in 2011, before the President addressed Johnson as "Santa's biggest, baddest elf." -- CANSECO VS. PUNK?: Former MLB star Jose Canseco is looking to get publicity from C.M. Punk announcing his career move to UFC. Canseco threw out a challenge to Punk via Twitter, but Punk won't be biting, as he's taking his entry into MMA very seriously. [ LINK: Mainstream Coverage from Yahoo Sports HERE ]

-- SHAMROCK & PUNK?: Former WWE/UFC fighter Ken Shamrock is also looking to work with C.M. Punk. In this instance, training Punk for his UFC debut in 2015. “I would take that in a heartbeat, because I just know what I could do with him. -- GFW TOUTS SOCIAL REACH: Global Force Wrestling issued a press release Monday touting the reach of their daily YouTube series produced by Kevin Sullivan a/k/a KevinSullyTV building to their PPV presentation of New Japan's Tokyo Dome Show on January 4. There is no indication yet on whether YouTube views of Jeff Jarrett and Jim Ross talking about GFW will translate to PPV buys, but Jarrett says he is confident this is the right direction for reaching wrestling fans.

"This is a venture that has never been done in professional wrestling," said Jarrett. "Daily on-demand docu-style content is truly where the future is heading. Understanding the audience and delivering what they want is what we strive to do.”

-- HOGAN'S BEACH VS. LOCAL AUTHORITIES: Hulk Hogan's beach restaurant has come under fire from local Florida authorities and residents for a lack of noise control. Local officials are especially concerned with New Year's themed parties coming up. In 2013, the Environmental Protection Commission staff sent Hogan's Beach a warning, then commissioned a study on the noise. EPC officials are now trying to arrange another meeting with Hogan's Beach management to continue discussions, especially before New Year's Eve. -- NEW JOEY & CANDICE EPISODE: The latest episode of Joey Ryan and Candice LaRae's YouTube series features Joey on the road wrestling and doing improv comedy.
