WWE released a video clip of Vince McMahon talking about using silence as a tool in the Creative toolbox - as well as in contract negotiations.

McMahon's comments focused on how The Undertaker and Triple H set up their WrestleMania 27 encounter by silently eyeballing each other and the WM27 sign hanging above the arena.

The video was to promote a "WrestleMania Rewind" special on the Taker vs. Hunter match airing Tuesday night on WWE Network.

Text of McMahon's clip: "No words could have been said. And shouldn't have been. Silence is a very important tool used at the right time. It draws you in, it makes you think, and it engages you as an audience. It can become very uncomfortable, but it makes you think. When you have two icons like that not saying anything, it was just like, 'Wow, that was a cool moment.'

"Silence is a great tool in terms of getting someone's attention and entertaining if you have the right characters. So that was just a technique. By the way, it's used in negotiating very well, especially over telephone. 'Hello, Vince, you still there?' 'I'm here.' 'Well, what didn't you like about the terms and conditions I just laid out.' (silence) 'Vince, are you there?' (laughs) People become uncomfortable and they want to fill in all those blanks. And that's what the audience was doing. 'What if this? What if that? Oh my God.' It allowed you that opportunity to think and feel that moment. Words would have destroyed that moment."
