Part-time WWE star Dave Bautista says he will return to WWE TV eventually, but he hopes it's not as a babyface.

The issue, though, is Batista was written off TV by "quitting" on heel authority figure Triple H and Hunter's Evolution faction, setting up a babyface return.

However, Batista told Chad Dukes of D.C. CBS radio: "I'll be honest with you, I just don't want it. I love being a heel, man, you know that. That's what I love to do, man. I think I'm the guy
that people love to boo and I'm okay with that and I love being heel."

In WWE's TV storytelling, Batista's exit led to The Shield breaking up via Seth Rollins turning on Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Batista says he wishes the split did not happen so quickly.

"This is just my opinion, but I think they should have kept [The Shield] together a little bit
longer. Let 'em have that babyface run just a little bit longer," Batista said.

Batista added that he believes the sudden break-up may affect Roman Reigns negatively.

"I thought they were pushing him a bit too soon. The guy's obviously, he's a huge star, he's gonna be a huge star. I feel like if they push him out there before he's ready, it's gonna put a fizzle on everything, man, I'd just hate to see that," Batista said.

Caldwell's Analysis: The combination of Creative changes and Daniel Bryan's injury seemed to expedite Shield's break-up, which has led to some up-and-down first few months for each member. Seth Rollins tried to find his footing next to Triple H early on, Dean Ambrose has had some really strong moments but also been subject to odd Creative, and Roman Reigns is still trying to find his voice as a future top star. All three probably get a B+, but I agree with Batista that the split was too soon.
