-- Daniel Bryan book-ended the post-Royal Rumble show by confronting The Authority and competing in a six-man tag main event. By the end of the night, Bryan was entered into the Elimination Chamber WWE World Title match at the next PPV.

In the opening segment, The Authority turned WWE's booking decision not to include Bryan in the Royal Rumble match into a storyline that Triple H and Stephanie McMahon did not want Bryan to compete twice in one night following his earlier match against Bray Wyatt. The segment then concluded with Bryan and Hunter engaging in a face-to-face confrontation.

-- The budding issue between WWE World Hvt. champion Randy Orton and Rumble winner Batista was slotted in a secondary role at the top of the second hour. There was no physicality, as Brock Lesnar interrupted to stake his claim to the WWE World Title.

-- WWE teased Lesnar facing either Orton for the WWE Title or Batista in a one-on-one match, but The Authority nixed both matches pitched by Lesnar's on-air representative, Paul Heyman. It would have been Lesnar's first free TV match since returning to WWE in 2012.

-- The New Age Outlaws retained the WWE Tag Titles over former champs Rhodes Bros. after Lesnar interrupted the match, ran off the Outlaws, and dismantled the Rhodes Bros.

-- Sheamus returned to Raw TV for the first time since the summer by helping Bryan and John Cena fend off The Shield in the opening segment. Sheamus was then part of Bryan and Cena's victorious team in the main event against The Shield, qualifying for the Chamber match in the process.

-- Christian was announced for his WWE TV return on Friday's Smackdown episode.

-- Dolph Ziggler beat The Miz in a match billed as a "Battle of Cleveland."

-- C.M. Punk and Kane did not appear on Raw after Kane eliminated Punk at the end of the Rumble match. Also, Big Show did not appear on Raw after being taken out by Brock Lesnar at the Rumble PPV.
