WWE Raw TV news & notes 1/13

-- Daniel Bryan exited his Wyatt Family trance and returned to form as Daniel Bryan in a big show-closing angle. After Bryan and Bray Wyatt lost to The Usos for the second time in the show, Bryan prepared to sacrifice himself to Bray again. However, Bryan resisted Sister Abigail, then attacked Bray, leading the crowd in loud "Yes!" chants.

After taking out Bray with signature babyface offense, Bryan symbolically shed his Wyatt Family get-up, returning to his wrestling gear. Bryan then closed Raw sitting on top of a steel cage leading the crowd in loud "Yes!" chants to close the show.

-- WWE announced Ultimate Warrior for the 2014 WWE Hall of Fame. (Read More)

-- The New Age Outlaws turned on C.M. Punk during a six-man tag match against The Shield. Punk went for a hot tag, but Road Dogg and Billy Gunn dropped off the ring apron, leaving Punk to fight Shield by himself. Afterward, Punk played up a story of the Outlaws doing Triple H's bidding, continuing to plant seeds for a future Punk-Hunter encounter.

-- WWE continued planting seeds for the likely Elimination Chamber PPV main event in February with WWE World Hvt. champion Randy Orton facing opposition from John Cena (at the Royal Rumble first), Brock Lesnar (claimed #1 contender), and Batista (returning on a title hunt). Plus, the likely inclusion of Bryan and Punk.

-- John Cena, Sr. was involved in another injury angle involving John Cena and Randy Orton. In this installment, Orton attacked Cena, Sr. on the front row after Orton was upset by Kofi Kingston in a singles match. After Cena, Sr. was taken away from the building in an ambulance, the "medical update" was Cena, Sr. suffered an eye injury.

-- There were two unspoken Hulk Hogan links during the show. (1) John Cena changed part of his ring gear to red and yellow colors. (2) New England Patriots TE Matthew Mulligan, who has been the object of video pep talks from Hogan, was shown ringside with other Patriots players.

-- WWE incorporated Ryback's series of odd tweets over the weekend into his TV character. The announcers played up Ryback as being crazy, then indirectly linked him to Ultimate Warrior because of the potential for Warrior to ramble like Ryback during his Hall of Fame speech.

-- Big Show KO Punched Zeb Colter to build up his Royal Rumble match against Brock Lesnar, who did not appear on Raw. Paul Heyman made a backstage appearance responding to Show's "message" to Lesnar.

-- The Authority (Triple H & Stephanie McMahon) did not appear on Raw for the second consecutive week. Director of Operations Kane and Raw GM Brad Maddox were the designated authority figures.

-- Dolph Ziggler and Mark Henry did not appear on Raw. Ziggler is off TV following a reported concussion at last week's Raw TV taping and Henry is selling an injury at the hands of Brock Lesnar last week.

-- NXT Diva Emma debuted on Raw TV as a "fan in the crowd" during a Divas tag match. JBL was produced to acknowledge Emma by name, pointing to Emma's imminent main roster debut. Emma has recently wrestled in tag matches on WWE house shows.

-- Jerry Lawler returned to the announce booth one week after missing "Old School" Raw due to a health scare.

-- WWE hyped the WWE Network announcement throughout the three-hour broadcast, sprinkling in video packages from the CES announcement in Las Vegas, Twitter mentions from celebrities, and media acclaim.

-- Announced for Friday's Smackdown are the now-heel New Age Outlaws vs. WWE tag champs Cody Rhodes & Goldust in a non-title match.
