Brock Lesnar tries to stay out of the limelight when off WWE TV for blocks of time. But, he resurfaced on Thursday as part of two non-wrestling stories:

-- Lesnar made a public appearance in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada on Thursday. Lesnar was in Saskatchewan visiting his brother's farm and said he's considering moving to the area because of the farming options.

It's a change from Lesnar decrying Canada's health system in 2010 when he was treated for diverticulitis while in the country. “It could have happened anywhere,” Lesnar said on Thursday. “That doesn’t deter me from becoming a Canadian citizen, no it doesn’t. It’s one of those things where it probably could have been anywhere and you know, who knows (what would have happened). It was just circumstance and that’s all it was." -- UFC president Dana White talked Thursday about how close UFC was to making a mega-heavyweight fight between Brock Lesnar and Fedor Emelianenko back when Lesnar was on top of the heavyweight division in 2009 before Lesnar was stricken with diverticulitis.

"Brock wanted that fight. Brock wanted that fight bad," White said prior to the UFC 166 PPV this weekend. "We made every big fight with every fighter since we bought this company. You don't think we wanted to do Fedor vs. Brock Lesnar? I f'n wanted to make that fight so bad."

White laid out the talks that occurred between UFC and Fedor's management team, labeling Fedor's requests as "stuff that no normal f'n human being would do." White said he tried to convince Fedor to have the fight at Cowboys Stadium to "catch a moment in time," but Fedor's side would not back down on their requests.

"It's not even that I regret it," White said. "Dude, when I tell you that we did everything - someday I'll tell you the story of how much we offered... People will f'n s---. It made no sense. It's one of those type of deals." [ LINK: Full Quotes reported HERE at MMAFighting.com ]
