-- Following Raw, WWE released "injury updates" on C.M. Punk and The Miz. WWE played up Miz having "bruising around the jawbone" following a KO Punch from Big Show. For C.M. Punk, WWE played up Punk needing X-Rays after being slammed through a table by Ryback.

“Based on how he’s feeling and what his symptoms are will determine whether we do any additional testing or not," said Dr. Amman, playing up Punk's fictional injuries from Raw.

-- WWE released footage of Cody Rhodes and Goldust being escorted out of the building after "invading" Raw. [ LINK: Footage HERE at WWE.com ]

WWE Raw TV news & notes 9/23

-- Cody Rhodes and Goldust returned to WWE TV by "invading" Raw and attacking The Shield. The brothers, who do not have jobs in current WWE storylines, were dressed in street clothes to present them as outlaw invaders. Security hauled Cody and Goldust away to continue the feud between the McMahon and Rhodes Families.

-- The TV main event featured Daniel Bryan's team of babyfaces defeating The Shield in an 11-on-3 handicap match booked by heel authority figure Triple H. The announcers spent the majority of the match wondering why Hunter booked Shield in the match, which will be part of the follow-up going forward.

-- WWE announced the debut of Los Matadores next week on Raw.

-- Dolph Ziggler will challenge Dean Ambrose for the U.S. Title this Friday on Smackdown. During the main event handicap tag match, Ziggler pinned Ambrose to eliminate the U.S. champion.

-- The Miz was this week's KO Punch victim at the hands of Big Show. Miz returned to TV following an injury angle last week on Raw to run down Stephanie McMahon, who then ordered Show to KO Miz.

-- WWE revealed the full "WWE 2K14" video game roster during Raw. The list is HERE.
