WWE Newswire September 13

-- A radio host teased the possibility of Shawn Michaels returning to WWE TV soon. Michaels was being interviewed on a sports radio station in Kansas City to promote his appearance at Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs NFL game when the subject came up. Michaels downplayed it after the host suggested Michaels would be returning to Raw, but it would make sense for Michaels to return as part of the Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan feud. -- Paul Heyman talked about his current run with Brock Lesnar and feuding with C.M. Punk, plus re-inventing the "wrestling manager" role in an interview with Jonathan Snowden of Bleacher Report promoting the Night of Champions. [ Full Interview HERE ]

-- Michigan St. head basketball coach Tom Izzo is scheduled to attend Friday night's WWE Live house show on-campus in East Lansing, Michigan. According to local news reports, Izzo will be presented with a WWE Title belt.

-- Injured WWE star John Cena is reportedly returning to WWE television in October as part of a Breast Cancer Awareness Month initiative. Last year, Cena was instrumental in WWE's partnership with Susan G. Komen. [ Source: Wrestling Observer ]

-- The Miz talked to international publication Sport 360 promoting next month's Abu Dhabi live tour. Among the basic topics covered, Miz identified that he is "pretty close with Dolph Ziggler, Zack Ryder, Chris Jericho, Christian, and C.M. Punk" on the WWE roster. [ LINK: Full Interview HERE ]

-- Canada.com profiled film-making sisters Jen & Sylvia Soska on their plans for Kane's character in the second "See No Evil" movie, which begins filming this month in Vancouver. "It is our desire to make this character absolutely iconic," said Jen. [ LINK: Full Interview HERE ]

-- The Shield member Roman Reigns talked to the local Fox affiliate in East Lansing, Mich. about Shield's role on WWE TV promoting this weekend's house show tour. [ Full Interview HERE ]

WWE Newswire September 11

-- WWE U.S. champion Dean Ambrose talked to hometown Cincinnati publication City Beat promoting next week's Smackdown TV taping in Cincy. Included was Ambrose reflecting on his troubled upbringing that he incorporates into his wrestling act. Ambrose also noted his goal is to eventually be the top villain and champion in WWE.

“To me, anything less than being the top guy in the industry, the top villain in the industry, the WWE Champion, is a failure,” Ambrose said. “That’s a lot of pressure to put on yourself, but whenever I look at it realistically, that’s just how it is.” [ LINK: Full Story HERE at CityBeat.com ]

-- "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase weighed on his son, Ted DiBiase, parting ways with WWE during a discussion of his "Heart of David" ministry in an interview with Donald Wood of Ring Rust Radio.

MDM DiBiase quote: "My goals are to see my boys come alongside me (in the ministry) and they are in a lot of ways, even though my son decided not to re-sign with WWE, it was a personal decision that I was very very proud of. We can talk until we’re blue in the face about how he wasn’t used in a better way, which is kind of a thorn in my side, but you know, it is what it is, and it’s a funny business. But, nobody will argue the point that he was one of the best hands they had. He made a life choice, he finally said look, and I realized that you’re right. The reason I didn’t want my children to be wrestlers wasn’t because I didn’t love to wrestle, it was the lifestyle and the demand on me to be away from my family. Once he had a son, that just hit him like a brick. So he’s doing great and I can’t even get into the things he’s got going but I’m just very proud of him to be honest."

WWE Newswire September 10

-- WWE announcer Jim Ross published a new blog at jrsbarbq.com on Tuesday offering his thoughts on Monday's Raw, including Paul Heyman's old-style stunt feigning a knee injury to get out of a match. "Reminded me of an old time promoter who pulled that stunt in grocery stores to score paydays back in early '70s," Ross wrote. [ LINK: Ross's full blog HERE at jrsbarbq.com ]

-- Michael Wehr, a story producer for reality TV shows, provided insight on his role in WWE's "Total Divas" reality show in an interview with John Corrigan of the Temple University student newspaper.

“I watch endless amounts of footage,” Wehr said. “I take different aspects and form a story without manipulating it too much. Going in, the executive producers kind of have an idea of what direction they want to go in, but other times a scene will be shot and the story is not getting across, so we have to figure how to do that as quickly as possible. Two people could be having a heart-to-heart, and then all of a sudden a dog could run in barking with some kids and ruin the scene.” [ LINK: Full Interview HERE at Temple-News.com ]

-- WWE executive Stephanie McMahon's latest stock sell-off as part of her executive portfolio was covered by the financial news. Zolmax reports that Stephanie sold 51,095 shares of WWE stock on Tuesday, for a total of $524,234. Stephanie still owns 51,945 of shares. [ LINK: Details HERE ]
