After throwing out the first pitch at the Miami Marlins game on Saturday night, August 24, Bill Goldberg spent about 20 minutes answering questions from the media on a wide range of topics.

One of the first questions addressed by Goldberg was his status for WrestleMania XXX next year. He recently went on Twitter to shoot down the rumor that he will be wrestling on the show. He shot down the rumors once again on Saturday, while also leaving the door open if the right opportunity came along.

Ryback's name came up as a possible opponent for Goldberg at WrestleMania, given the similarities of their pushes out of the gate and the "Goldberg" chants that continue to dog Ryback. Goldberg was not keen on that idea. "If the offer is to go to WrestleMania and wrestle him and put him over...it wouldn't be my ultimate opponent," Goldberg said.

Goldberg instead threw out Undertaker's name in a Streak vs. Streak type match, as well as Steve Austin in what he termed "a dream match."

Continuing on the subject of Ryback, Goldberg said he felt bad for Ryback, who Goldberg said was just taking direction for his character. Goldberg said Ryback should take the chants as compliment.

"He should look in the mirror and thank God that people are comparing him to me. I have more talent in one finger than that punk has in his entire body. And I have, at 46-years-old, more presence than he could ever have in his entire life," he said.

Goldberg said he was speaking antagonistically because of recent negative comments Ryback made about him. "Ask Triple H, I don't like people talking about me when I'm not in the business," he said.

Goldberg added that opportunities like the Marlins's Legends of Wrestling Night allow him to give back to the fans. "This gives me the opportunity to get out to wrestling fans and say 'thank you' for supporting me, and for remembering me," he said. Goldberg added that it's a "huge honor" to have fans chanting "Goldberg" at guys like Ryback in WWE and Crimson in TNA.

Goldberg did note he has two movies coming up and a few car shows that he and his people have been shopping to television networks. He even hinted at a possible project with Steve Austin in the future.

Goldberg had a large contingent of family and friends on hand, as his mom still lives in the Miami area and attended the game.

[ FYI: We will be posting 3-4 more news items from Goldberg's 20-minute interview covering a lot of ground from his career over the next few days. Check back later Tuesday and Wednesday for more installments. ]
