WWE Raw on Monday, July 22 scored a 2.94 rating, balling below the 3.0-mark from the previous two weeks.

Last week's Raw following the Money in the Bank PPV scored a 3.04 rating and the previous week's show - featuring the highly-rated McMahon Family Drama and Vickie Guerrero's Job Evaluation - scored a 3.08 rating.

- This week's Raw stayed above four million viewers, averaging 4.005 million viewers, down two percent from last week's average of 4.100 million viewers vs. the Home Run Derby.

Hourly Break Down: 3.922 million first hour viewers, a jump to 4.162 million second hour viewers (more than last week's second hour vs. the Derby), and a decline to 3.933 million third hour viewers.

The "Daniel Bryan Third Hour" declined in viewership, but drew in the younger demographic. The 10:00 p.m. hour rated the highest among m12-34 and m18-34, while the 9:00 p.m. hour was top-ranked in the broader demo of m18-49.

Also, the male teen rating jumped to its highest point in five weeks, indicating that Daniel Bryan's character appeals most to the younger audience.

- On cable TV Monday night, Raw ranked #2 in overall viewers behind "Major Crimes" on TNT, was #1 in adult male demos, and ranked #2 in teen males.

Caldwell's Analysis: This Raw felt like an "old-school" three-hour Raw where nothing was advertised in-advance last week on Raw, WWE drew a general audience in Hour 1, the general audience and adult-male-heavy audience mixed in Hour 2 to produce the largest audience of the show, and the general audience gave way to the more adult-male-heavy audience in the final hour. Also worth factoring in is how dull the first two hours of Raw were in real-time, so there did not appear to be an incentive to stay tuned for the third hour until the Daniel Bryan Show kicked off.

We will have quarter-hour break downs later this week to examine the Daniel Bryan Hour in further detail.
