WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels denies that he was referring to Daniel Bryan when he said in a recent interview that Vince McMahon does not believe "a certain individual" is main event material.

In an interview with "Ministry of Slam" earlier this month, Michaels relayed a recent conversation with McMahon about evaluating talent. The context was that Michaels said he empathizes with younger stars trying to be accepted as main-eventers because people in WWE did not believe he was a main event player in the early 1990s.

"I had a conversation a couple of weeks ago with the man in charge," Michaels told Ministry of Slam, "and we were talking about a certain individual and he goes, 'I just don't see money in him.' And I said, 'You said the same thing about me.' He said, 'I did not.' I said, 'Yes you did!' (laughs) I said, 'And it's okay. It's just one of those things.'"

This week, rumors surfaced that Michaels was referring to Daniel Bryan as the "certain individual" who McMahon does not see as a main-eventer. Michaels addressed and denied this on Twitter Friday night, adding that he was referring to a bigger wrestler.

"We weren't speaking of DB, that was the assumption of net folks," Michaels tweeted. When asked if he would reveal who he was talking about, Michaels replied, "No, but remarkably, he's 6'3" 250, I made my point. Please be careful, what you read/assume is likely inaccurate."

Asked again who was referring to, Michaels replied, "I would have said if I thought relevant. Not DB tho." Michaels then noted the context of his comment during the interview and offered his perspective on what McMahon thinks about Bryan.

"That isn't even who we were talking about. He's (Vince) big on DB," Michaels told a Twitter follower. "Shame y'all let those folks work you like that... The guy is actually 6'3" 250, ironically, y'all miss the same point he did. Amusing since everyone's knocking him."

In his final tweet on the subject, Michaels replied to a follower who asked if the person is Wade Barrett: "UGH!! Respectfully, this is why I rarely talk wrestling, no one takes the fun out of it faster. #letitgo."
