WWE Raw TV news & notes 5/13

-- The Shield lost their first televised six-man tag match Monday on Raw. In the top match advertised during the show, Shield lost via DQ to John Cena, Kane, and Daniel Bryan in a six-man elimination match. Technically, Shield is still undefeated in traditional six-man tags.

Shield held a 3-on-1 advantage after Kane and Daniel Bryan were eliminated, then John Cena pinned Seth Rollins, Reigns was DQ'ed, and Ambrose was DQ'ed when Rollins and Reigns attacked Cena.

After the match, Shield quickly got their heat back by triple-powerbombing Cena. The WWE Champion was then victimized by Ryback, who attacked Cena to set up their WWE Title match at Extreme Rules on Sunday.

-- The feud between Triple H and Brock Lesnar was spotlighted in the main event segment leading into Extreme Rules. Hunter referenced Lesnar losing his "mystique" on the air. This was part of the storytelling getting Lesnar to meet him inside a steel cage for a fight leading to their cage match at the PPV.

-- WWE World Hvt. champion Dolph Ziggler did not appear on Raw after suffering a reportedly "serious" concussion at last week's Smackdown TV taping. Also, Ziggler's World Title match was pulled from the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday, but Ziggler was not stripped of the World Title.

-- The Miz returned to WWE TV after a one-month absence following WrestleMania. The announcers noted that Miz was off filming a movie, then Miz promptly beat Heath Slater of 3MB in his return match. Miz is now scheduled to face Cody Rhodes on the Extreme Rules PPV pre-show on Sunday.

-- The heavily-promoted "Dance-Off" segment between Chris Jericho and Fandango was slotted as the opening segment of the show. The segment unfolded with Fandando giving Jericho a brutal attack to set up their singles match at the PPV. Later in the show, Jericho cut a passionate babyface promo vowing revenge on Fandango.

-- WWE heavily pushed their App before matches, during matches, and after matches, including airing backstage promos in a video window in the middle of several matches during Raw. WWE's latest App marketing pitch is the App being "The New Way To Watch Television."
