Former WWE/WCW wrestler Scott Hall gave his insight on what was missing from the in-ring portion of the WrestleMania 29 undercard in an exclusive PWTorch Livecast interview conducted Friday, May 3.

"I think that some of these young cats - particularly in the earlier matches - don't know the difference between working in an arena as opposed to a stadium," Hall told PWTorch editor Wade Keller.

"I was lucky that I wrestled Carlos Colon in Puerto Rico back when business was still strong there and we wrestled in baseball stadiums. And, there is a difference between working to a big crowd like that than there is in front of a smaller crowd, in my opinion.

"What you have to do is be more deliberate and slow everything down because it's kind of a ripple effect as it moves from the ring all the way to the people all the way at the top of the stadium. They can't process the stuff as fast as wrestlers do... When you're in a big show like, at WrestleMania, people are still looking around like, 'Oh my God, I'm here.' Everything has to be deliberate so that they can see it.

"You have to let the people digest what they have seen before you do something else, or else you're just kind of wasting your time. The guys who rushed, the guys who went early got absolutely zero response from the fans. It wasn't really until Chris Jericho came out and wrestled this cat, Fandango, who seems to be handling his big push really well... For me, that was the first time was in the show - I'm not knocking these guys, just giving my opinion - where everyone calmed down. From then on, the quality of the show improved because Chris set the table. I think the fans started paying attention because, 'Here comes a big star.'"

Hall also said he would have re-arranged the Mania line-up to have one of the big main events earlier in the card (Hall recommended John Cena vs. The Rock) to let the crowd really get into the show, then come down for some undercard matches, and get back into another main event (Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar) before closing with The Undertaker vs. C.M. Punk.

"Everybody in the world knew The Streak was going to continue," Hall said. "And, C.M. Punk's ring music is being played live in the stadium by Living Colour. Nobody else had that. I would have gone with that last knowing that you're going to send the people out of the arena happy and emotionally-satisfied with a great match, a happy ending, and The Streak continues. I would have ended there. That was a tough match to follow."
