To promote WrestleMania 29 tickets going on-sale this week, WWE executive/part-time wrestler Triple H spoke to the New York Post about several Mania-related topics. The following are highlights.

-- Triple H suggested that Brock Lesnar might not return to WWE until WrestleMania in April. Discussing build-up to the event, Hunter said, "Brock Lesnar has been discussing his return being at WrestleMania."

-- Triple H made it known that he is not retired and he plans to wrestle at WrestleMania. "I'm sure as we get closer to the event I’m going to get very excited about maybe throwing the trunks back on and getting back in there for WrestleMania," Hunter said.

Asked if he would attempt to break Undertaker's Streak for the third straight year, Hunter said, "It’s New York, it’s WrestleMania, there’s going to be 70,000 people going crazy in MetLife stadium, it’s going to be tough for me not to want to be involved in that."

-- Hunter said he does not see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin wrestling again, even after the teases for Austin vs. C.M. Punk that were associated with the "WWE '13" video game release.

"One thing I have learned in the WWE is never say never," Hunter said. "I’d be surprised if Austin ever threw the trunks on again. You get to a certain point in your life where your mind thinks you can do a lot of things that you maybe can’t. I’d be surprised but I’ve learned in this business to never say never so you never know."

-- Asked why WWE has not announced the headline match in-advance, like Rock vs. Cena one year out, Hunter said they believe Mania in New York sells itself and it's a "double-edge" sword if WWE promotes a match well in-advance.

"Here’s the thing, Rock versus Cena being announced a year prior, that’s the first time we’ve ever done that. WrestleMania itself is a big-enough build," Hunter said. "I think that having something like that is a double-edged sword because it could lose its luster over the course of the year, if you hear about it enough, or it can be the attraction that you have to go see at the end of that year."

Hunter added that WWE believes Mania interest will build as The Rock gets involved chasing the WWE Title, John Cena finds a Mania role, and Lesnar returns.

-- Hunter mentioned Bruno Sammartino when discussing the Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden the night before WrestleMania, but in the context of discussing WWE (WWF/WWWF) Legends who have passed through MSG.

"To have the Hall of Fame in Madison Square Garden where all of those greats had those moments from Bruno on, the nostalgia factor is going to be awesome. It’s one of my favorite parts of the whole week anyway, just seeing those guys honored, it’s going to be awesome," Hunter said.

-- Comparing Mania to the NFL's Super Bowl, Hunter claimed that Mania has outdrawn the Super Bowl in the same markets following the NFL's biggest event of the year. This time, WWE will precede the Super Bowl at MetLife Stadiu,.

Asked if the NFL will have some big shoes to fill, Hunter said, "I think it is because we’ve outdrawn the Super Bowl for a little while now in the arenas and stadiums that we’ve followed them in for the Super Bowl. We’ve gone in after [the NFL] and surpassed their ticket sales."
