WWE Raw on Monday, July 23 recognizing 1,000 episodes scored a WrestleMania-level 3.84 rating for all three hours (3.48 first hour, 3.95 second hour, and 4.09 final hour). The regular two hours averaged to a 4.02 rating.

Looking at the standard two hours, it was the first time Raw topped a 4.0 in three years dating back to June 22, 2009 when WWE offered a commercial-free episode. Outside of the commercial-free Raw, it was the first time since April 13, 2009 two weeks after WrestleMania 25.

- Raw averaged 6.02 million viewers for all three hours. The standard two hours averaged 6.31 million viewers. It was the first time an episode of Raw topped six million viewers since the commercial-free episode in June 2009. Other than commercial-free, it was the first time since February 23, 2009 leading up to WM25.

Raw started with a strong average audience of 5.44 million viewers in the new first hour. That alone was the most viewers for an hour of Raw in over one year dating back to May 23, 2011.

Raw then averaged 6.32 million viewers in the second hour and stayed very even with an average of 6.30 million third hour viewers.

- DEMOGRAPHICS UPDATE: Raw's biggest increase was among teen males and younger viewers, both male and female. Among males 12-17, Raw scored a 4.41 household rating for the standard two hours and 4.18 rating for all three hours, which was up 49 percent and 41 percent, respectively compared to last week.

Also, the standard two-hour block increased one full ratings point among males 12-34 compared to last week. The following is a break down of demographic increases compared to last week.

- M12-17: 49% for 2-hour, 41% for 3-hour
- M12-34: 36% for 2-hour, 30% for 3-hour
- M18-34: 31% for 2-hour, 25% for 3-hour
- M18-49: 22% for 2-hour, 17% for 3-hour
- A18-34: 47% for 2-hour, 40% for 3-hour
- A18-49: 38% for 2-hour, 31% for 3-hour

Caldwell's Analysis: Massive audience by 2012 standards. WWE loaded up the show, hyped it like a PPV, had all kinds of media coverage including a big story in USA Today the day of Raw, and had all of the big stars coming back to draw in nostalgic/very casual viewers along with regular viewers. There will definitely be a drop-off going forward in the three-hour era, but this gives them a lot of momentum going forward and it gives USA Network their big ratings boost to help in the quarterly race.
