WWE Smackdown TV taping preview 5/1

Following the Extreme Rules PPV and Monday's Raw taping, WWE caps off the week with a Smackdown taping Tuesday night in Toledo, Ohio with Smackdown-centric fall-out from the PPV.

-- Advertised for this week's Smackdown is World Hvt. champion Sheamus & Randy Orton vs. Daniel Bryan & Randy Orton in a tag match featuring PPV opponents.

Part of the advertising that aired during Raw suggested the top Smackdown feuds will continue. However, Bryan is now scheduled for a WWE Title match against C.M. Punk at the Over the Limit PPV.

Also in-play is Alberto Del Rio has a future World Title shot against Sheamus, which could occur at Over the Limit on a quick three-week turnaround to the next PPV.

-- Other Extreme Rules PPV fall-out will focus on Kane-Orton in the tag match and what's next for Big Show and Cody Rhodes after Rhodes captured the Intercontinental Title from Show at Extreme Rules.

-- Christian is advertised for the taping. However, he was advertised for last week's Smackdown taping and did not appear. WWE could be saving his TV return for this week after Extreme Rules.

-- WWE will be taping Week 61 of the ongoing NXT: Redemption season, which includes one remaining Rookie, Derrick Bateman. Also scheduled is the return of NXT authority figure William Regal and an influx of new talent, per an announcement by Matt Striker on last week's episode.
