WWE wrestler/on-air authority figure Triple H had a brief interview segment on Friday night's edition of "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" promoting current TV storylines and next Saturday's WrestleMania special on NBC.

Hunter, who was the second guest on Fallon's show behind former SNL castmember Horatio Sanz, mainly discussed "firing" his father-in-law and becoming the new "COO" in the storylines.

After Hunter made the standard wrestling entrance "coming out of a smoky hole" in the studio audience, Fallon congratulated him on becoming COO. Hunter quickly said, "It is storyline congratulations."

Hunter incorporated his brand of humor into the interview, saying it's like a dream job being able to beat up and fire his father-in-law, Vince McMahon. He also discussed marrying Stephanie McMahon on TV a decade ago and now having three kids in real-life.

Fallon then introduced a clip of Hunter "firing" McMahon on TV last month. The abbreviated clip included Hunter telling McMahon the Board of Directors has given McMahon a "vote of no confidence." The video then cut to McMahon crying and the crowd chanting, "Na na na, goodbye." (Hunter's infamous "I love you, pop" line did not make national television.) Back to the interview set, Hunter dryly said it brings a tear to a glass-eye.

Hunter then promoted the WrestleMania 27 special on NBC next Saturday and emphasized The Rock's return. Hunter put on a good corporate front graciously talking about Rock "coming back home with us" after launching his full-time movie career.

Hunter also promoted Snooki being part of WrestleMania, which was good timing for WWE the night after MTV's "Jersey Shore" averaged 8.8 million viewers in its season premiere. Hunter said there was "no hooking up that I know of" at WrestleMania. Sanz interjected that he wouldn't mind hooking up or fighting Snooki.

That concluded the three-to-four-minute interview with the only hard plug for the WrestleMania special coming at the beginning of the segment when Fallon introduced Hunter.

At the very end of the show, Hunter returned to the stage to "try to act hip" like in the DX days dancing with the musical guest group that followed his segment.
