-- The PPV broadcast began with an "In Memory" message for Randy Savage, who died on Friday, May 20. There was no verbal mention of Savage during the PPV.

During the WWE Tag Title match, C.M. Punk paid tribute to Savage with an attempted top-rope elbow drop after doing Savage's trademark pose extending his arms straight-up in the air.

-- Bret Hart and Jim Ross made surprise appearances during the PPV. The WWE Hall of Famers assisted Jerry Lawler and Eve in giving Michael Cole his comeuppance after Lawler beat Cole in the Kiss My Foot match. (Read More)

Hart commented on his appearance on Twitter afterward: "Was supposed to go to Hawaii. Ended up in Seattle instead to help a friend. Hope everyone enjoyed the surprise."

John Cena retained the WWE Title over The Miz in an I Quit match, Randy Orton retained the World Hvt. Title over Christian, Kane & Big Show retained the WWE Tag Titles over Punk & Mason Ryan, Brie Bella retained the Divas Title over Kelly Kelly, and Wade Barrett retained the Intercontinental Title over Ezekiel Jackson via DQ when The Corre interfered.

-- WWE promoted their next PPV, Capitol Punishment, around a political theme since the PPV will be emanating from Washington, D.C. WWE aired a faux "press conference" with President Obama as part of a promotional video.

The theme WWE will be promoting for the next several weeks is WWE has invited all of the politicians in Washington to attend the PPV.

-- During the PPV, Alberto Del Rio made a non-match appearance with a promo vowing to take the WWE Title from the winner of Cena-Miz in the main event.

-- Kharma did not appear on the PPV despite WWE practically advertising her for the Divas Title match between Brie Bella and Kelly Kelly.

-- Announcers: Michael Cole, Booker T, Josh Mathews, and Jerry Lawler began the PPV. Booker and Mathews called the Cole-Lawler semi-main event. Ross, Booker, and Mathews called the Cena vs. Miz main event.
