WWE wrestler/executive Triple H says the working plan is only to use him on an "emergency basis" in the ring and he does not foresee a full-time return.

"As of right now, I'm not planning to return full-time to the ring," Hunter told Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun at Friday's "BA STAR" launch event in Washington, D.C.

"To quote Vince (McMahon), I think I'll be more 'In case of emergency, break glass,'" Hunter said with a wry smile. "I'm at a good point for me - it's a young man's business and I'm at a point where I'm still healthy and I can do this when I want."

Hunter said his personal view is he can benefit WWE more by focusing on talent development and helping create new stars rather than having his focus on "being a performer." Hunter named Sin Cara and Kharma as the first two wrestlers he's focusing on under his watch in the newly formed talent development department.

"I always try to look at it as the good of the business - whether people want to see it that way or not - and for me, right now, I think I can give more behind-the-scenes for the benefit of the business than being in the ring... I can be there now and then when we need it."

-- Regarding his WrestleMania 27 match against The Undertaker, Hunter said he has not watched the match yet. He said he can't at home with three kids running around and he tried to unsuccessfully in his office.

"I tried to watch it one day in the office, and everyone kept coming in and out of my office, so I never saw it. I have yet to sit and actually watch it. (long pause) To be honest, halfway through, Mark (The Undertaker) and I knew we had something magic(al) happening and we were very excited about it," Hunter said.

"Both of us are at the point of our career when we're in there now and then, and when you can make that kind of magic with a guy you've known for 18 years, that's what our business is all about. That was a night I'll never forget.

-- The long-form version of Hunter's interview also included his full comments on the "New WWE" re-branding attempt tacked onto what we covered yesterday.

Hunter added: "I think people get caught up in the 'Oh, they're not a wrestling company.' No, we still do that. That's still our core and our business." Hunter then made the KFC and Apple Computers analogy that WWE emphasized at Friday's shareholders meeting that WWE wants to be more than just what the name implies. "Our goal is to be more than just that one thing," he said.

Caldwell's Analysis: Torch editor Wade Keller spelled out the issues with the "New WWE" initiative in Tuesday's Keller Hotline analyzing Hunter's prior comments. It comes down to WWE needing to be "pro wrestling and...xyz." Instead, they're simply trying to throw "wrestling" into the xyz of "what WWE does" rather than amplifying the unique form of entertainment they have to offer, which is wrestling.
