The following is a report on Edge's final farewell speech after the WWE Smackdown TV taping concluded Tuesday night in Albany, N.Y. (Video is available at DailyMotion.com courtesy of Torch reader David Spalding.)

-- After the Smackdown taping concluded, Christian brought Edge into the ring for a five-second pose for the benefit of those with flash photography.

The Smackdown locker room then emptied out onto the stage to applaud Edge as his music played. Locker room veterans Big Show, Rey Mysterio, and Chavo Guerrero joined Edge and Christian in the ring to pay tribute to Edge.

Triple H's music then hit to a reaction, bringing out Hunter as an executive dressed in a suit. Hunter quickly marched to the ring and shared an extended embrace with Edge, who was shedding tears by this point.

Hunter, Show, Rey, Chavo, and Christian then left the ring to stand on the stage with the rest of the locker room before everyone returned to the back.

Edge stood in the ring and gave a seven-minute farewell speech to the crowd in Albany complementing the farewell speech he'll have on Friday's Smackdown TV broadcast.

Edge began his speech saying what the locker room did was the ultimate show of respect, which he said he hopes he earned. He name-dropped Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, Vickie Guerrero, and Kane, who he noted is one of his closest friends in the wrestling business.

Edge then thanked the production crew, graphics department, catering, and the writers, adding that he hopes to thank everyone at the Hall of Fame one day, which drew a pop from the crowd.

Next to thank was Vince McMahon, who Edge said he won't call "Mr. McMahon, but Vince." Edge added: "He was the only one who at the end of the day thought I could carry the World Championship. I know he was the one who stuck with me and had the vision. I'd like to think I proved him right."

Edge gave Smackdown announcer Booker T a shout-out. He said he can't do an Edge-a-rooni as Booker was shown tearing up ringside. Edge paused for a "Hall of Fame" chant before he thanked Vickie Guerrero. The crowd booed, Edge smiled, and said, "See, she does such an awesome job that I'm thanking her from the heart and you still boo her."

Edge thanked Lita to big reaction. He then paused to thank Christian. Edge recalled their goal to become WWE tag champions together. He said they've traveled the world together and Christian has been with him through injuries and tribulations.

"I'm really excited to see where he goes from here," Edge said about Christian perhaps taking the ball from him and running with it. "I'm looking forward to any Edgeheads out there getting behind him."

Edge wrapped up by reflecting on his career, saying he has no complaints doing what he wanted to do with his career. He said he'll always be part of WWE in some respect.

"I have a feeling you probably haven't seen the last of me, but I'm going to get off the radar for a while and just be with my dogs," Edge said.

The camera showed Edge's mom tearing up ringside and Edge finished up his speech before waving good-bye and doing a victory lap to conclude the TV taping.
