WWE CEO Vince McMahon said during Thursday's conference call with investors that he believes plans for a WWE TV Network are "developing very well."

McMahon said they "just had" their first meeting with Verizon and they have meetings lined up with all major carriers, including DirecTV and Time Warner. McMahon noted WWE already has a relationship with Comcast due to Comcast's recent merger with WWE's TV partner, NBC Universal.

"Early indications are that it's a great idea," McMahon said about the response from cable/satellite providers they've already talked to.

McMahon did not identify a timeline for launching the potential WWE TV Network. The original plans were summer 2011, but WWE has pushed back the target year to 2012.

McMahon said the key is determining how to structure the contracts with potential carriers, which will affect how revenue is distributed and costs are divvied up.

"There are a lot of moving parts. I don't think it will necessarily be a lot of costs - other than our standard television production - but we do it far more efficiently than anyone else in the business," McMahon said in response to a question on whether costs will increase significantly to launch and operate the network.

McMahon and WWE CFO George Barrios said WWE still plans to expand its media center with or without movement in the WWE TV Network initiative. Financially, WWE is targeting $8-12 million in production additions/expansion in 2011.

"It's good enough for us at the moment," McMahon said about their current production facilities. "A lot of this cost will be the WWE TV Network. Even without a network, we would be going forward soon with those costs and an expansion on our studios."
